Title: Guild symbols/ Standards
Post by: FlippySeal on August 01, 2004, 03:04:26 am
I think it is essential for you to be able to get a Standard or flag for your guild, or if you just feel like prancing around town with your coat of arms on it.

But i think that you should be able to buy material armor covers depicting your symbol, or be able to have a paint job done, on your helmet, armor, shield, standard, flag, etc, etc.

It is then possible for you to represent your guild in formation wherever you go, and armor covers can be bought so you can look like a uniformed group of people.

When i say armor covers, i mean the material cover like the one on the guy in the picture below,  please note how it has a symbol on it. Now if my guild could strut about Hydlaa wearing things like that, it would kick ass!

I believe it will be possible in the future to get a stack of guild suits which can be worn over armor or whatever you wish, however it\'s not a cheap process. First of all, it\'s not a \"Can I buy 1 thing with XX symbol on?\", you\'ll be needing to order large quantities, and you will need to pay loads of money for getting it specialized so noone else is wearing the same thing. It\'s not supposed to be an easy process, but doable... Yes. :)

I discussed in brief the choosing of a guild symbol here: http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?boardid=11&threadid=9743&page=1#2

But that thread had nothing on standards or flags!
