Join us in a quest for knowledge...
The Rangers Of The Expedition will be a guild of explorers, and treasure hunters, When we return from any of our glorious exploits, we will sell the treasures, artifacts, Rare Weapons, potions and Herbs.
In short we are a tarveling mercantile of exotic items! our base of operations as well as our maine shop will be at the Guild Home
currenty we have about 16 members! and the website has just been lauched

Currently we are of Lawfull Neutral alignment, not particulary favoring good or evil, for fear of loosing customers! we fight for what we see fit, but will not take part in petty Guild disputes, unless said guild interferes directly with a Our guild, or trading routes.

we are, at the moment a \"friend\" of the mirth guild, in the coming weeks, if al goes well, we will be \"Allies\"
other than these relations we try to make only friends and allies, no foes unless, of course they interfere with our guild or its trading routes

The young Dermorian\'s eyes glittered under the light of the Azure Sun, sparkling with eager anticipation at the abundance of marvelous goods spread out on the tabletop. Her gaze swept over potent herbs from the farthest reaches of the labyrinths, knick-knacks from the ancestral home of the Stonebreaker dwarves, and even precious packets of Surface Soil.
Do you see anything you like, little Miss?? rumbled the sturdy Kran merchant, as he finished setting up his market booth.
I, I, don\'t know.. There\'s just so much! How did you get it all?? The child\'s voice quivered as she sensed the mysterious aura of the items for sale. They all seemed to ooze a sense of far-off adventure and uncharted frontier.
The Kran leaned back and set himself down in his granite chair, took a quick bite of a particularly fine piece of marble, then began to speak. Miss, I got all this by toiling across scorching sands, slogging through boggy marshes that stretch past the horizon, and hauling myself up sheer cliff faces. I got this by being persistent, and by not giving up. I got this with the help of my comrades, the members of the Rangers of the Expedition.
There are none as skilled as the Expeditioners when it comes to finding hidden paths and secret shortcuts, and nobody can guide you through the barren wasteland of the surface as an Expeditioner can. Like me, they are roving wanderers, never settling down, and always questing for whatever is beyond the horizon.
A woman\'s voice rang out over the babble of the marketplace. Fraytha? Where are you, dear?? The little Dermorian maid scrambled to her feet and smiled at the friendly merchant.
Thank you for your story, sir. I hope I meet you again next year.

If you aim to explore, why do you not join the already established and successful Explorers guild? They are an excellent choice for someone such as yourself, if you are aiming to reach the surface.
If you are going to start this guild, be prepared to work hard on it. You may notice that the most successful guilds in the Planeshift world have histories, beliefs, rules, organization, a web site, forums, etc. If you want to succeed, these are things that you will need.
The effort required will be great, but if you take the time to lay a foundation for your guild, you will have my respect. It is far better to announce your guild once you have the basics in place however.
Good luck, and if you truly want to have a guild, don\'t give up! It can be difficult, but it is also rewarding when you succeed. :)

Do a little research before starting a guild. We already have an Explorers guild, as the Pint here just mentioned. We also have a guild called the Rangers guild. Not only is your guild a duplicate, but yiou\'re name is annoyingly similar to that of an established guild. I don\'t mean to sound rude or anything, just laying out the facts.
Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Mr. WiseKran, You will have to put up with criticism if you ever post on these forums. While JoeyGuy\'s posts may not have been the most constructive of criticisms, that\'s water under the bridge now and you\'ll just have to put up with that sort of stuff. I have to agree that your goal is annoyingly similar to that of the established Explorer\'s guild, prehaps you will get fewer complaints if you add something radically different to your list of goals? More power to you and I hope you know that it takes a lot of effort to run a guild. :P

as i said before, we are a young guild and we havent tottaly set all of our goals yet.. our main goal is exploration and the surface world.. but trust me there will be more to come..[EDIT] We have established that we will run a mercantile throughout yliakum, after one or many of our glorious exploits, we will return any artifacts or treasures we have found and sell them at the clan home,.. for a hefty price lol(EDIT)
just because our maine goal is similar to the explorers guild doesent mean that we are a duplicate... perhaps we can do it better(no offence to explorer guild or its members)
i just want peace ok....

Names, goals and the like not withstanding. The website looks pretty good. You might try adjusting your Banner so it doesen\'t look so skewed and your forum colors are not really all that attractive. Other than that it looks pretty clean. If you used a template than, well, you used a template ;( . If not nice job :D

Please excuse us all if we are a little jaded at the recurrence of a new guild. I do, in fact, hope your guild succeeds if that is what you wish it to do. I, however, agree with most that you would have a fitting place as an Explorer, albeit not with the leadership you may perchance desire. You are your own free spirit, though. Do as you will. I would, though, ask that you find a \"nickname\" for your guild other than either \"ranger\" or \"explorer.\" Though these are the two you favor, they are, to put it bluntly... taken. All aside, I admire your ambition, if not your originality.

i did make the site myself, through HTML .. thats why it is pretty plain. but ive been having a hard time with that banner, lol. it just doesnt fit.. if i make it any taller than it takes up to much space and is overwhelming, if i leave it the way it is it looks noobish all skewed out.. im just gunna havta overlook it, maybe mae it a lil bit taller...

we already have a storywrighter i believe who will write our guilds history and beleifs. but i could use any help you have to offer...
i know it seems annoying when a new guild springs up every other hour, looks crappy, then gives up a week later... but i plan to carry this guild through till the end! whos with me!?

Ok here is something radicly different from other guilds.. (you would already know... had you read the about page.
here it is (...Our Guild is not be focused mainly around trade skills, as many other guilds are. Our Guild will be based on Selling Exotic merchandise. Our main goal as a Guild is Exploration of the world and running a mercantile store filled with souvenires and artifacts from our glorious exploits.
being explorers we may not have a permanent guild home... as we are explorers and always on the move from place to place... we will have various camps along the roads and sell exotic artifacts and such that we discover.)---about page, @ RangersOfTheExpedition.tk
there it is.. we discover new lands and places.. bring back the Phat Lewt and sell it to people at the clan home... basicly we will be like a traveling mercantile of exotic goods weopons and armor and artifacts.

no no, no flames, nothing wrong using templates. Though i never used any, you could do a lot with them., and you doesent have to care about browser compabilety, when they often are made after all the rules. hmm, and if you get flames from other then me, then it is my fault for bringing the templatecase up to broad daylight, sorry Wisekhan

Chaotic Neutral?? Merchants?? That doesn\'t sound right I must say.
If you are chaotic neutral there is no telling if you are fooling clients or not. And that isn\'t good for business.
If the clients can\'t trust you I don\'t think they\'ll buy much.

as i said we are nuetural because we will sell goods to evil as well as good, we will carry items of the dark arts as will as light. we wil not take place in guild wars, because we are merchants! we are Neutural !! and we will fight for what we feel is right!!!

He was referring to the chaotic part. Personally, I would want merchants to be lawful, but that\'s not the case, even in RL.

i say, if we were lawful, then we\'d have to abid by the laws, thos ONLY reason we are \"Chaotic\" is because we want the power to wage war if someone steals our merchandise, or if they attack us, or if the interfere with our trading routes
oh and (no offence to democrats, its not that i hate them, or that there bad people, or anything like that, i just dont share the way they think

That is no reason to be Chaotic.
If you are stolen than those who stole you are against the law (stealing is against the law) so they have to be punished. I don\'t think the \"law\" will care if you do it yourself. The same for attacking and defending you trade routes.
So I guess True Neutral would fit you better ^^. Chaotic would be the ones who would steal you :P.

Yes, and besides, Chaotic Neutral tends to be the madman\'s alignment. You wouldn\'t want your merchant\'s running around flipping coins to decide what price to charge customers would you? Or worse yet, charging a man more for the same product as the fellow standing next to him paid less for? But tending toward chaos without regard for good or evil would make such whims appealing...

OOC: Unique? No no you are mistaken, you are something like a stolen copyrighted template...changed with few differences but still traceable to the original! In your case you are not just one stolen template, more like several!
IC: Good luck with your \"Thieves guild\" and see you on the battlefield! If you think a group of armed \"Explorers\" or the allignment \"Neutral\" will save you...think again!

Depth: Don\'t bring this topic up again, please. It has already been discussed, and WiseKran is aware that there are some people who think his guild is not unique enough. He has chosen to continue, despite this, and if that turns out badly for him it was his own decision. You have absolutely no right to make any guild change their website template, beliefs, or goals. If you think they will fail, let them do so, but don\'t make useless posts.
WiseKran: Please don\'t lose you temper. 8o Foul language and insults aren\'t neccessary, so try to express yourself in more diplomatic terms. 8)

Wisekran, if you can edit the new info into your previous post (and still have the thread get bumped up) there is no need to write another post. Considering that it gets annoying having to look at the same sig over and over again. By the way Wisekran, friendships and alliances that are worth anything aren\'t so easy to come by. You need to work hard for them.

I request that you place your \"Of the Expedition\" closer to the \"Rangers\" (and in light color) in your sig. \"Rangers\" is the common nickname for The Rangers Guild. It could easily be mistaken, unfortunately. I would bother you to get a different guild name, but I can see you aren\'t likely to change it at this point.
Does your guild roleplay?
If not, there is a radical difference, I would not want people to mistake your non-roleplaying members for my roleplaying ones. It might create a negative image.

That said, I wish you luck with your \"Traders Caravan\" sort of guild. :)

Yes we do roleplay, If you would visit our background page, we have a short story that explains some guild history and what we do, if you would like to read Confusediam\'s(my char) life story it will be on the webpage soon enough. i roleplay whenever i can. and i rarely stray from my charectors role.
I would be happy to form a friendship with the Mercenary Guild, but im not sure if DepthBlade will have it. he seems angry towards us for some reason.
I would also be happy to form a friendship or alliance with e Rangers guild, we may be able to intertwine our histories thruogh roleplaying, and we could use your expert rangers ang scouts for our caravans.
