I installed Planeshift into a folder that already contained some Planeshift-related files. (Mainly laws and such for Mirth Guild) When I uninstalled the game, the entire folder was deleted, along with my original files. It isn\'t all that much of a loss, because I have copies of the files elsewhere, but I think this should be looked at so someone else doesn\'t lose something they can\'t replace. :)

Thanks for posting that Half_Pint, everyone should take note lest they do the same.

I\'d never even think of installing something into a folder that has anything else in it! Also, I\'d be really happy if every software would just remove any trace of it\'s existance on uninstalling... Most leave stupid things in the folders like config files, registry entries and such junk. I hate the registry-crap anyway. Why can\'t ppl. just make config files instead of a bloated spyware thing that gets corrupted and unusable once the disk space runs out?
Anyway, I think PS simply does the equivalent of \"rm -Rf *\" on it\'s root folder, which is way easier than keeping records of the files that have been installed and created over time. Maybe in a version that is more complete this could be added, but right now I think the dev\'s time is better spent elewhere (I mean, you aren\'t supposed to uninstall PS anyway ;) ).
Edit: Maybe a note in the uninstaller describing this behaviour would be easy to do and safe enough.
