Title: A Newbies simple question about AB

Im a newbie that joined in MB but i have always been wondering, what was AB like?, and what was before AB?, really sorry if this has been asked more than a hundred times, but i tried searching and couldnt find it.

AB was the most horribly boring thing you can possibly imagine. There were no weapons, an un-resizable chat window that took half the screen and didn\'t work all of the time, and no matter what time of day you tried, you were all alone. Hydlaa was much smaller and I could go on forever with how bad it was. :)

Before that, there wasn\'t really anything except a dev-only CVS version like the current CB CVS. Full of nothing but an even more basic game engine, graphics engine and such. Not much to brag about, but there needs to be something before you can improve it. :)

And no, this hasn\'t really been asked before. :)

It also had a porn splash screen :D
EDIT: There are 2 AB splash screens, the splah screen they used was censored i think.
The whole thing looked like a cave, the atmosphere was kinda depressing.
Hydlaa looks much better now, not to speak about the enkidukai model. The green gui looks better too.
Didnt play it much, because no one was there, sometimes a newbie or two, like me.
The running Ynnwn was fun :)

Ok, thx, i was just wondering for no specific reason. Also if the whole thing looked like a cave, dosent that mean evrything is as it should be? After all it is a cave...

Yes, but it is a very large cave. In AB, it appeared to be smaller. Very claustrophobic feeling.

Anyone remember the MUD of \'94? I was five years old back then, and internet was a strange new word to me ^^

I\'ve only heard that it was a MUD. Never played it. And if you highlight above the intro movie on the PS site it says \"MMORPG ROLEPLAY FANTASY MUD RPG ONLINE MULTIPLAYER FREE MMORPG ROLEPLAY FANTASY MUD RPG ONLINE MULTIPLAYER FREE\". Don\'t know if anyone\'s noticed that before.

I myself have never played AB but have been interested in trying it out to see what its like. Too bad its too late for that.

Why do I like the censored AB spash screen better than both the MB and CB one? o.O

*wonders what the uncensored screen has looked like*

I also like the trees in CB! *eg*
