Hey all,
So, with the move to UE4 an artist who has made things for PS for a long time, Clovenhoof, has been playing about with some of the terrain modeling features.
Below is a little preview of some of the changes you can expect in Hydlaa.

Hey, that looks pretty good. If they're supposed to still be cliffs, might want to shave off some vertical details and make it look like rock.

I think this is the image tag you wanted to insert. So, this is about smoother heightmaps for modelling the landscapes? That's pretty nice, and with your terrain textures and some blendmaps I guess it would look awesome. Have those actually been added to the official client? If not, why?!

I updated the first post so it should be ok.
This is just what it looks like after the very first time work was done on it. Expect it to look very different once all the correct textures are added to the terrain.
