hi,

i was wondering if you are using the current cvs version of cal3d. It seems that they just changed the create and destroy functions, so that the CS code is incompatible.

I couldnt get it to work, and i cant find a cal3d version that works with CS.

Should i just wait, or can i get a working version of cal3d from somewhere?

Have anyone seen the James Bond movies. I recall a assination attempt on james bond where he was sleeping, and a bad guy above him had a Yo-Yo with sharp saw like edges. Of course James Bond could escape :). But it is an example of how the Yo-Yo could be used as a assasination weapon.

Some of you can say that James Bond is not the real world. But so is Planeshift :). What mathers is how usefull a Yo-Yo weapon can be. If it exist or not. How can it be used it battle, or in assasinations.

if there is a PvP area, i think if it\'s big enough and making it free of rules. It will attract enough people and guilds. Guilds for example may want to have a own piece of ground where they can make their own laws

indeed, maybe if you hire a npc or a player with that job, he can tell you if you may build there or not. This will be only in \'controlled\' area\'s.

Controlled area\'s may be area\'s that are under supervision of a goverment or something like that. It could be the same area\'s where you can not PvP.

In de uncontrolled area\'s you may build where you want (should be no problem if it is big enough), and PvP. You can say that uncontrolled area\'s are just anargy area\'s or something like that

i searched i bit in the forums and i found these 2 links:

http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=8296&boardid=11

http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=7759&boardid=11

But anyway, my view is that when high level people are buying/building a house they are most likely building it in the protection area of there guild to protect it. And in this way guild city\'s will evolve if the guild is big enough.

I think this will add to RP, because people who dont do Roleplay dont join the guilds (or there must be a non Roleplaying Guild). This way they cant get a house because they can\'t protect it.

Also because of this i think you can get very fun guild wars :)

sorry for my bad explaining, but it\'s my first post :)

[edit] ->
Or maybe there is another option with involves also a bit of the PvP discusion. There could be an PvP area where people and guilds have much freedom to build, and guilds have there town wars etc..... And there could be a non PvP area where all the housing is controlled (and secured) in some mather.
