Moraz Calli'dri
The Blood Brotherhood

Guild History

Chapter I, the Ancients

Long ago, back when the portals began opening in Yliakum, a group of 5 Diabolis appeared through some of the portals. They were men and women of all trades;

Upon the first day, they met and discussed each profession with great passion,
Upon the second day, they began discussing their surroundings, Yliakum and the gods,
Upon the third day, they began discussing the power they had back from where they came,
Upon the fourth day, they began conspiring against other people,
Upon the fifth day, they met with a young Ynnwn named Morgurath,
Upon the sixth day, they began gathering people,
Upon the seventh day, they started manipulating the people into their beliefs,
Upon the eight day, they began training those people,
Upon the ninth day, they created the five ancient houses,
Upon the tenth day, Morgurath bound them together and made Moraz Calli’dri, meaning “Blood Brotherhood” in their language.

Not many years after the binding Morgurath disappeared mysteriously, and the Moraz Calli’dri began to dissolve.

Chapter II, Ojaveda

The Enkidukai looked one last time back at Hydlaa; he had nothing more to do here he thought to himself. It was not that long ago, he left the Dark Empire, he had agreed with himself not to bind himself to another guild for a while. No, he had agreed to go on a journey to find himself, he turned around and began walking, he glimpsed down at the map and smiled to himself it will be good to see Ojaveda again he thought.

Some hours had passed by, when he finally reached the great entrance to the Enkidukai Village. He went on in and decided to stay at the tavern for the night.
He sat down on one of the chairs with his mug of ale, he noticed an old woman in the corner who was looking at him… no, staring at him. Uncomforted by her gaze he emptied his mug and went over to her, asking her with a cold voice “what is it old woman?” She looked up at him with an empty gaze, handing him a piece of paper. He took the paper and looked it through “what is this?” he looked up, and found her to be gone without a trace. He looked at the paper again, it was a map.

Chapter III, the tomb

The next morning he decided to look for the location marked on the map, led by a strange urge to go to the place marked on the map, he bought some food and set out. He walked for hours not recognising anything on the map; it was not until nightfall when he reached a stone formation which looked a lot like the one on the map. He decided to make camp and stay there over night; he prepared the tent and meal and then headed straight to bed.

He woke up in the middle of the night; a strange sound was carried along in the air, almost like music.
He found that the source of this “music” was a cave, well hidden away from the main road.
He went inside and noticed that the further in he came, the more human made it looked. The music became stronger and stronger, and he ended up in a small corridor with a stone door at the end, he opened the door and entered a small round room with a sarcophagus in the middle, a heavy book resting on top of it.

A few letters were engraved on the side of the grave in a foreign language, “Horata leikar Mezhun Morgurath”. He looked at the book on top and opened it, he read a few words out loud and felt a strange feeling in his chest, he became dizzy and not long after everything went black.

When he woke up again, he was in a dark place, surrounded by stone. He noticed that the stone over his head was removable, and that he was able to push it aside easily, he placed his hand in front of his eyes, annoyed by the sharp light. When he had finally gotten used to the light, he noticed something strange he could not feel his tale, he looked at his hands and stopped breathing for a few seconds, his fur was replaced by a red skin which covered his whole body.

He crawled out of the sarcophagus, and looked down in fear to see his own lifeless body lying on the ground.

Chapter IV, the Reincarnation

“I believe it is frightening” Jazeera looked obviously shocked behind him to see the old woman from the tavern standing in the entrance to the room. “Who…. are you?” he muttered, she laughed and then simply answered “that is not important, you are though” he raised an eyebrow not understanding “you are the incarnation of the old Mezhun, Morgurath” he could not believe what she was saying, but somehow he knew she was right, he felt thoughts and memories which weren’t his own floating in his head.

“How do you know all this?” he asked, she lifted her hand and pointed with a long thin finger at the book behind him. The Terra’zhul he thought not knowing why he knew this, “it contains all you need to know, now go and do what must be done” with this said she disappeared into the thin air.

Guild Leadership

The guild is led by the Mezhun, who will serve for his whole life or until he chooses to resign.
All major action in the guild is decided by the Mezhun and his elder council (consisting of Dark Hands) by voting, if the voting ends in a tie, then the Mezhun will have the final saying.

The Associates are led by the Magisters, who will supervise their trial, as well as help them if they need it. The Magisters will also act as recruiters, as well as teachers.

Guild Structure

The Guild is made up of six houses, which all are led by a Dark hand, all except House Hlaaron which is led by the Mezhun:

House Hlaaron,
The newest house founded by Jazeera Hlaaron, fulfilling the last of the forgotten prophecy.
It is the Master house; this house is led directly by the Mezhun, and it contains him and his personal guard, the Mezmerati.
The purpose of the house is to supervise the other houses, and maintain the guild generally speaking.

House, Dra’len,
One of the Ancient houses, it is named after the Ancient Morutha Dra’len; he was the original founder of the house.
It is the house of warriors, they are the backbone of the Brotherhood army, and consist of two departments, the defensive and the offensive.

House Mircar,
One of the Ancient houses, it is named after the Ancient Malicia Mircar; she was the original founder of the house. The members of this House are Mages; they are trained in all kind of different magic’s.

House Doco’bar,
One of the Ancient houses, it is named after the Ancient Jourel Doco’bar he was the original founder of the house.
The members of this House are crafters; including miners, blacksmiths, alchemists, animal trainers and so on.

House Zethir,
One of the Ancient houses, it is named after the Ancient Vallenvar Zethir; he was the original founder of the house.
The members of this house are Archers and scouts; they are the eyes and ears of the guild

House Xyc’cihr,

One of the Ancient houses, it is named after the Ancient Ouven Xyc’cihr; he was the original founder of the house.
The members of this house are Thieves and assassins; they are the silent killers and avengers of the guild.

Ranks of the Moraz Calli’dri

Persons seeking membership within the guild will be given this rank. They will be seen as outsiders to the guild, regarding guild classified information, although they are allowed to participate in guild events.

II. House Apprentice
Persons who have completed the Trials of blood will be given this rank; they have just begun their journey down the path of their profession and career within the Brotherhood.

Standard members Ranks

III. House Journeyman
These are the basic members of the guild, they have been in the guild for at least 1 month, and are well know with the guild structure as well as their own profession.

IV. House Kinsman
The house kinsman has been in the guild for at least 6 months, they are experts in their profession but they still do have much to learn.

V. House Master
The house master has been in the guild for at least 1 year, they are very passionate about their profession and are very well trained in it.

Higher members Ranks

VII. Mezmerati
The personal guard of the Mezhun, they are responsible for his well being, as well as assisting him in carrying out special assignments, they are his eyes and ears. They are led by a captain who probably is the Mezhun most trusts man.

VIII. Dark Hand
A Dark hand is a leader of one of the great houses; they are part of the elder council, and are second only to the Mezhun. They will lead the guild, in times when the Mezhun is unable to lead the guild (he’s on vacation, or inactive for a longer period of time).

IX. Mezhun
The Mezhun is the leader of the guild, and so he is responsible for the guild and its members. He is dedicated to it, and will settle all disputes if no one else can find a solution.

Trials of Blood

When a person becomes an Associate he/she will have to stay at that rank for 1-2 weeks, to make sure he/she wants to be in the guild, and the guild can make sure if it wants the person as a member.

If they get past those weeks, they will be given the trials of Blood by the Mezhun and/or a Dark hand. The exact details of the trial are not to be published to those outside the guild.

Act I, the ruins of a lost civilisation

\"Today, we will learn about the Diaboli... now who can tell me about them?\" Elthar looked around in the small room, where several Xacha youths were sitting by tables. He smiled as he saw the hand of his best student \"go ahead Xarion\", the young Xacha placed himself in a standing position \"the Diaboli were a people who once roamed this world, the typical Diaboli had shiny oil-black skin, a thin pointed tail and little horns. The last of their kind was killed by Saint Heran, the founder of Shah\'el\" Elthar nodded \"and they were great magicians, and have made many artefacts. Actually if you walk outside our village you will find many ruins, these ruins were the homes of this race and deep in their dungeons are many artefacts... of course if it wasn\'t because of the new inhabitants of these ruins, we would have discovered many of these artefacts. Well that was all for today, class dismissed\" the students began to pack their bags and then left the room. \"Ah, Xarion and Gelant I need to talk with you both\" the two students looked up and nodded. \"You two are my best students, and I have a little job for you... if you accept it that is. It seems that our diggers have found a new ruin near the outskirts of this village, and well there has been no sign of hostile activity inside the ruins so I was wondering, if you guys could go and check it out?\" Xarion smiled \"I\'m in\" Gelant looked from the Elder to Xarion \"come on its way too dangerous! We could get killed in there!\" Xarion turned and looked at Gelant with a harsh look \"what are you afraid? Who would have thought that the mighty Gelant is afraid\" Gelant looked down \"it\'s... not... that\" \"then what!?\" Xarion were getting angry at his friends hesitation \"come on, Gelant it\'s a chance you only get once in a lifetime!\" Gelant shrugged \"alright... I\'m in then... but I don\'t like this!\" Elthar nodded, \"great then, I will give you this pass here\" he gave Xarion a piece of paper with a strange code on it \"show this to the guard, and he will let you enter the ruins, now remember to bring all that you find back here\" the boys then left the classroom.

\"This must be it\" Xarion looked around and then noticed a person guarding something that looked like an entrance to a cave; they began to walk towards him \"halt, this is restricted area; only those with permission from the Elder may enter!\" Xarion showed him the pass and he nodded \"I am not sure why the Elder will let you youngsters enter, but he must have his reasons... you may pass\" he then moved and the boys entered the cave. It had looked like a simple cave on the outside, but the inside were much different, the golden walls seemed to lit the hall \"impressive\" Gelant looked around with big eyes, Xarion looked at him and laughed to himself. At the end of the hall they came to a crossroad, \"well, which path shall we take?\" Gelant looked at Xarion \"we could take both\" Xarion smiled \"I thought you were afraid\" Gelant shrugged \"well one has the right to hesitate\" Xarion laughed \"have it your way then, I will take the right path and you will take the left\" Gelant nodded and they walked down their chosen path.

After walking for some time Xarion noticed that the hallway was getting smaller and smaller, until it ended in a huge room. The room was filled with chairs and tables, he then realised that he were in the dining room, and he also realised that this ruin had served as a palace for the royalty of the Diaboli. He walked through the room and then entered another room, which had some kind of grate on the floor. He walked towards it and saw a person on the floor below his, he then recognised the person \"hey, Gelant up here!\" Gelant looked up and then smiled \"hey, Xarion I think I have found something down here, it seems to be some kind of tunnel I am going to see where it leads\" Xarion nodded \"I will check the upper floor\" he then saw Gelant disappear into the dark. He began to walk down a hallway which seemed to be endless, but he did get some time to think about things while walking it. Things such as why would the Elder send us? Two young and inexperienced students, and where have Gelant\'s fear gone? And why aren\'t there any monsters here? All these strange things were happening so sudden... it was actually beginning to give him a headache, but before he could think of anything else, he realised that he had reached the end of the hall. He saw a big and sturdy door before him, he could hardly open the door but after many tries, he finally managed to get it open. A stench welcomed him in the room, he was terrified of the things he saw here, the walls of the room where covered in blood, the room was lit by the small openings in the blood. This resulted in a badly lit room, as he entered the room he felt like walking on something, he looked down and saw several corpses filling the floor of the room. He tried to find the exit as quickly as he could; he finally found it and was relieved to see that the next room was normal. In the end of the room there was a throne, and in the throne was what appeared to have been the last king of the Diaboli. He noticed that the king was wearing an amulet; he walked up to him and took it. He examined the amulet and saw that there was some inscriptions on it, suddenly the door behind him opened he turned and saw Gelant standing in the door.

\"Finally got here\" Gelant moved towards Xarion, \"you look sick?\" Gelant looked at Xarion \"have you been in the room out there? There are corpses everywhere! And the walls...\" Gelant stared at Xarion who obviously wasn\'t listening; Gelant noticed the amulet \"say... where did you find that?\" Xarion looked up and then pointed towards the corpse of the king. Gelant walked up and looked at the corpse \"what is this place anyway? Some kind of palace?\" Xarion shrugged \"wouldn\'t make much sense to build a palace under the earth...\" suddenly they heard a noise from the door; they both looked and saw a figure standing in the door. It began to move towards them very slow, \"it\'s a rotten corpse\" Gelant was terrified, Xarion stared coldly at the zombie a small ball of fire appeared in his hand, he hurled it towards the zombie. The zombie let out a terrible scream as the old clothes gave life to the fire, many zombies appeared after this one \" ...it seems that we have awakened them\" Gelant looked at Xarion \"no kidding?... we cannot defeat all of these monsters by ourselves\" Xarion frowned and looked around, but the only exit was through the Zombies. All of a sudden Xarion heard a voice in his head \"Commodum auctorita ab phylacterium\", the amulet began to shine and a bright light enclosed them all, the last thing Xarion heard was Gelant\'s scream...
