Tried it about six times, and checked my spelling more than I should have had to. All that she says to anything I say is the whole can't understand, try "about x", "give me y", and that hooplah. I don't know if I like the way they made the tutorial... They should have made it optional... But I suppose we all need to be taught some way or another, whether we're so stubborn we start complaining (*cough* sorry...), or we would rather know how.

Anyway, I can't get past the stupid thing.

As far as I know, only Abelia says "about x, give me y." You're supposed to say to Neave: "miss abelia sent me".
I have basically the exact same problem...

I talked to the first tutorial person, and I got as far as

"As a general rule, if you say the next thing an NPC told you to say, it will proceed the dialouge. General phrases are "about x" or "give me y".", or something similar. After that, I've tried tons of things, but I still haven't gotten any far. I tried talking to the other tutorial people, but I can't even get past saying "hello".

Is this a glitch, or am I just missing something?

Same thing, your quote is from Abelia. Try speaking to Neave or something...

Try attacking a mob. Does it strike back? Well, I'm tired of attacking mobs that don't strike back. It means I can beat any thing stronger than me. I attack a thug and he blocks sometimes but nothing more. I don't get nothing like "Thug hits you on the legs for 2.83 damage." It's getting boring. Does anyone have the same problem? Is it because of the server reboot? Last time all mobs were impervious to attack. Now they're just wimps.

:'( :'( :'( Wow, good story, but the end? "rushing to her death..." Meh. C'mon! You can do better! Eliura dies!? Ok, fair enough, but rushing to her death doesn't work as good as a heroic stand and the a dark ending. :P :P :P

I would like to add another idea: when your physical stamina is low (lower than 50%, just for example) shouldn't you attack with lower strength and speed?
And when you fall off a cliff, shouldn't you have to lie down for a while like if you're dead, then get up again? I think you should also lose physical stamina when you fall. It all leads to how your stats affect the others. I think it's worth it, but it would take some time.

Wish list / Re: Doing more damage with two weapons
« on: January 06, 2008, 11:26:10 am »
Now that is difficult... I think it should depend, as many have said. If you wield two claymores, the only thing you would manage to do is slow your-self down and almost no damage as a result. Claymores should be 2-handed. Broadswords should be used with a shield or with a smaller weapon. Only truly skilled in sword fighting should try to dual-wield. Smaller weapons than both of these should be dual-wielded if you want, some taking higher skill. It all depends on size, weight and skill. I think that's about as much as I can argue.
I would gladly take two broadswords on me if I had the skill  ::)

I would also argue that there should be some skills that lead to others. Maybe if you had 10 on the sword skill you could wear a dagger on your off-hand, than at 15 or 20 you could wear a small sword, and after that the same weapon. Just as a Two Handed skill should allow you to wield medium weighted weapons with 2 hands for more damage, then heavier weapons, and then extremely heavier weapons, as battle hammers.

Wish list / Re: Final version of the Klyros...
« on: January 06, 2008, 11:15:24 am »
The Klyros, as far as i know, was designed as a mash-up of a fish, human and dr*gon. Tho, i wonder why they added a human nose and mouth... an old conept shows a more fish-like head.

I agree at least with that. Human nose and mouth are not so good on the model.

Give them giant kikiri heads! That'll show those flying freaks a thing or two about evolution. Wait, could they have come from the same plane???

Please, don't insult the Klyros, although few want to be them in Planeshift

Farlen Hamul, Ilirion's character, glares angrily at bilbous.
