Same problem.  Fixed the OpenGL problem I was having, but whether I \'m using opengl or software for rendering, it freezes about 3 seconds after entering the character creation window.

Platform: Fedora Core 2 - 2.6.6-1.435.2.3

Any help would be appreciated. :)

I was getting the exact same errors.  I followed the advice here and created the following symbolic link:

# cd /usr/lib
#  ln -s libGL.so libopengl32.so

Now it starts in OpenGL :)

But I still have the same problem I had before when I started in software rendering mode (when I couldn\'t get OpenGL to work)... and that is... it freezes about 3 seconds into the character creation...

Any ideas?

I\'m getting the exact same error as a few others...

<< Warning: Failed to load `gl3d\'; use \'-verbose\' argument for details.
Warning: Failed to load `gl3d\'; use \'-verbose\' argument for details.
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.graphics3d.opengl\'
aws-debug: Couldn\'t find iGraphics2D plugin!!
psclient: No 3d driver (iGraphics3D) plugin! >>

When running in software rendering mode, it freezes shortly after entering the character creation window.

Fedora Core 2 - 2.6.6-1.435.2.3
ATI Radeon Mobility M9 - Using ATI Proprietary Linux Driver 3.11.1 (Released August 5th, 2004)
*Same errors occured using the previous ATI 3.9.0 drivers

Planeshift looks really cool, if anyone has a workaround or solution for me, I\'d really appreciate it.

Thanks
