Related stuff: I\'m collecting Fantasy literature (some 600 books, including those I never got back after lending them... *sigh*)
I\'ve created 2 fully detailed fantasy, one sketchy SF universes, for my own use (Writing of stories)
I\'m currently starting to order the stuff i\'ve written over the years and trying to make a novel... well. let\'s see.
Gamemastering: I organised and mastered several 3 to 5 day RPG events of
some 20 to 35 people playing through an adventure of mine in 2 or more groups...
I had up to 4 SubGM\'s for this - great fun, especially when the groups set out against each other without ever meeting.
Short writing:
The stuff I\'ve been doing so far is all in German, so I write a short piece (very short) in English.
-------------------
\"Well...\", the old man, sitting crouched in the corner of the monastery tavern said.
Thomas waited.
Obviously the drunk had no intention to continue his sentence or answer the question.
He felt his face becoming hot.
\"Well what? Answer the question or you will answer the Abbot, drunken lout!\", Thomas shouted.
That got him a reaction. The man suddenly looked up into his eyes, which surprisingly made him step back.
\"If you want answers, boy, you\'ll better learn some politeness and patience, or someone will give you the thrashing that you deserve.\"
The man stood up and Thomas realised that he had been mistaken about some small details:
The stranger was a full head taller than he was and must have earned his money as a plough-horse, which was the only thing that could explain those shoulders.
The hilt of the longsword that became visible showed that this was not a man to be trifled with.
Grey hair or not.
He took another step back.
\"Well...\" the other looked into his eyes and started to grin broadly, obviously waiting for Thomas to continue.
Which he would not since even he recognised a baited trap when it jumped into his face.
\"...since you absolutely must know, the name is Gideon Twohands of the Sandtower people. My errands are my business and none of yours tough.\"
Thomas in this moment realized that this was a very good idea. As Brother Grindell often pointed out, it was not wise to stick one\'s nose into other
peoples businesses.
He was absolutely positive that he did not need to know what this fellow was about. Funny how that this thought had never been so obvious before...
In fact it really would be best if the Abbot decided this.
-------------------
Hmmm.
This encounter would propably lead to Gideon meeting the Abbot...
Possibly Thomas would be send along with Gideon, something like that.
However, this is a first on-the-run writing, so not very refined - there are still some (hefty) bumps in the flow of the reading.
If you want something different or an adventure from me, send word.
