Newbie Help (Start Here) / 0.10 fps o.O

yesterday i was getting a fair amount of lag..but it was playable(5-15 FPS), but all day today ive been getting 0.10-0.85 FPS, so it hasnt broken 1 fps all day. i found this odd as i was getting about 13 fps on average yesterday. What could have caused this?
