Fantastic, guys. Thanks so much for the quick and helpful responses. Once I\'m done playing RYL I\'ll be sure to boot back into FC to test it... (I actually got PS working just fine under windows, but if I have the option, why on Earth would I do that? 
)
Nice to see a game with what appears to be a good community base. Hopefully this shall be what we\'ve all been waiting for... a MMROPG with the fun, depth and community rivaling that of a taple top game...
Look forward to slashing monsters with you in the next release.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Linux install problem...

This is kind of an embarrasing way to intoduce myself in a forum that I will be spending a lot of time in (if all goes well, anyway), but I don\'t think I have a choice.
I tried installing the tar ball and that failed. Went looking in here for a solution and came across the shell script to install it, so I ran that hoping everthing would be fine. Unfortunately, no... this is what gets spat out at me...
[root@witerabit planeshift]# ./psclient -verbose
no CEL environment variable set!
Warning: Failed to load `vfs\'; reason(s):
/usr/local/crystal/lib/vfs.so: File not found
./vfs.so: File not found
/root/molblue/planeshift/vfs.so: File not found

Is your CRYSTAL environment var set?
[root@witerabit planeshift]# locate vfs.so
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.2/components/libnkgnomevfs.so
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/filesystems/libgnome-vfs.so
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.8/libgstgnomevfs.so
I saw a few similar problems in a couple of threads, but none of them appeared to be resolved... so now I plead to someone for assitance.
Anyone who helps me get this running gets my eternal gratitude, which is not something to be scoffed at.
Hope to kill bad things with you all sometime soonish.........
