Partly because I know that speed of DSL doesn\'t exist, and also partly because a 100mbps connection would be VERY expensive (24.95? nope.).
Where I live there are a lot of choices.
Netzero/Juno: 9.99/mo
AOL: 21.95/mo was it? Probably more now.
COX Cable: 34.95/mo
PacBell (SBC) DSL: 49.95/mo
Those are just some of them. As you can see, broadband is still at least 20$ more expensive than DSL/CABLE, which can make a large difference for some people. Also, here the prices are relatively cheap to other areas or countries. I have COX Cable, 3mbps. It works, and it\'s fast, and the only reason we have it instead of dialup is because I begged my dad for it and because it makes our Cable/Digital Phone/Internet package be from the same company, which gets us a discount
Well, this is not true, VDSL can be run at speeds at 52/52Mbps or 100/1Mbps (if it\'s not more than 3-500m to your station), a connection like that costs about $60 were i live.
