General Discussion / Poleaxes all the way
« on: February 06, 2005, 08:06:55 pm »
I\'m going to have a Poleaxe or prehapes a spear.. I like the way the longer weapon fights, and I can\'t wait for it to come out.

Home Edition XP seems to be having a bit \'o the problem with the Updater... my guess is that the updater is missing something, and our comps think that thats an error. At any rate, it is annoying, because in order for me to re-update the game, I have to uninstall it, then run the updater, then hope that the problem is fixed... no luck so far, however, the game runs fine for me, and only the updater is the problem, thank you Lord. Alright now... back to playing my game....

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) /
« on: February 05, 2005, 02:43:54 pm »
I\'m getting the same problem: I think the new updater has some problem either with our computers, or our OS type. I have XP home edition, here is my DXDIAG:
What in the world could be the problem? My computer gives me an \"error\" message, do you want to report it to Microsoft, ect, ect. Well... the new \"updater\" seems to have bitten the dust this time.

My graphics card is a VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP chip with 64MB... But as far as I\'ve seen, not much because of some annoying help boxes, I\'ve been able to see most of the Game start up..

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Annoying Help Boxes...
« on: December 25, 2004, 11:14:31 am »
Those annoying slightly transparent grey boxes that tell you what for example, how to type in your characters name, never go away! Every time I try to just click past it, it stays, and I then cannot click anywhere, forcing me to close out of PlaneShift and redo the whole process. I think it may be my computer, here are the specs... if not, someone help me solve this problem, since I really want to play this game!
EDIT*= This is when I try to make a new character, with race, ect.*

Computer: XP home edition Service Pack 2
Processor: AMD 3000+ (2.10 GHz)
DDR-SDRAM: 512MB
Hard-drive: 160GB
Graphics Card:  (I think for my comp it says Video Card, please correct me if I\'m wrong.. hopefully I\'m not... : VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP

----------------------------
I\'m sorry if this is truly a small problem, since I don\'t want to trouble anything over my frustrations trying to start a game!
