the latest update screwed up something,so that now i can\'t open the game nor the setup nor the updater.

it says : the dynamic link library libz.dll could not be found in the specified path c:\\giochi\\planeshift\\paneshift crystal blue;.;c:\\winnt\\system32;c:\\winnt\\system;c:\\winnt;c:\\giochi\\planeshift crystal blue;c:\\winnt\\system32;c:\\winnt;c:winnt\\system32\\wbem;c:\\program files\\ati technologie\\ati control panel

this as an error.

in the dos window there\'s the following :
  LoadLibraryEx(c:\\giochi\\planeshift\\planeshift crystal blue\\vfs.dll) error 126:

Personally i don\'t like the idea of spawning mines, it\'s just too irrealistic. Instead, the idea of crystal filled walls of rock or boulders which can be spotted by skilled chars is very good.
Also, mines should someday get depleted.. this way skilled miners could want to create some lobby or their personal mining guild, hiring workers and guards to prevent ore stealing and going to explore new areas to find other suitable digging places, others could go venturing acting freelance and so on, creating patterns of role playing politics and relations.
Anyway, i agree with the need to change the system to something less boring, the idea of the little game is really interesting :D

well, i\'ve seen at least 2 guilds whose members were mining there and many \"freelance\" miners..so try asking in game, it\'s getting quite popular  ;)

mining platinum not only is possible, but every ore gives you 12 and it\'s not so damn hard to find when mining at it...for the place...well, i equipped my pickaxe and stated digging everywhere until i found the place (and grinned)

Seriously, if you want fun don\'t level. There is quests and exploring to do :)



i find rat killing a lot funnier : they retaliate, they move, they die, when people hits i hear some sound and i can go through the sewers to find another. Mining keeps being boring. And by the way you can answer to noobs when attacking the same.. no need to rush on those money furs. Exploring is really great, thanx also to the very good musics..when i found those ruins near the obelisk i was really thrilled :). Quests right now can be very frustrating

a weak char does 0.00 damage to a tefusang, getting  no xp and no reward. if he can damage it he is not that weak :)

yeah i\'m trying mining too now that i found iron, even with skill 0 it could be an alternative (even if boring as hell)..  nonetheless, rats are the column as a fact, right now. Obviuosly tefusangs are great for xp, but only char with some skill can face them..

i noticed that when i equipped 2 swords. wielding just one make blows faster. i also noticed some kran punching me really fast, he had strenght like 115 or so, and another kran with strenght less than 100 (97 or like) being slowed down as usual

yes, xp is now shared between attakers according to the damage they do.

i think a good system do share xp would be giving points according to the number of damaging hits, this would make weak char get more xp than strong ones on moster. ex:

char A and B are attacking a different rat. A is weak while B is strong. The rat is quite a match to kill for A, while B needs only one of his 20.00 double swords shots. A  takes 15 hits to kill the rat, almost dies in the attempt and takes 20 xp. B laughs, growls and wipe off the face of earth the poor rattie. he takes 20 xp.

Imagine if , instead, any damaging hit gives 2 xp at the end of the combat. A, due to it\'s efforts, takes 30 xp, while the bored B takes just 2. it seems quite fair.

Why only damaging hit should give xp? Imaging being in the arena, fighting with your cool B a mighty trepor. it\'s a hard fight and i\'ts taking you time to kill it. A arrives and joins the battle but he can do only those annoying 0.00 hits = he is too weak. B takes 30 hits to kill trepor and gets 300 xp (trepor is worth 10 each, oooh :O), A does 45 non damaging hits but joined the battle, and thus takes 450 xp. cool ;)

First of all, sorry for my english. then,

Anyone here knows how the situation in the sewers is. I read the faq already, but i think it somehow understimates the problem.
 At any hour of the day, almost any rat spawn point has at least 3 people waiting to slay the poor rattie, and weak chars never get to kill one as strong ones blow them up with one single attak. This increases frustration of noobs badly, for rats are the only valuable source of money in the world for now. And also, kill stealing.. well, considering overcrowding and spawn camping, it\'s just impossible to find your own rat to kill all alone, SK is something that just by now can\'t be avoided. i know that  developers have much to do and i was the first thanking them for their efforts , but the situation is quite critical.
My experience lead me to this possible solutions, for now:
-More rats, a lot.

-Even more spawn points, so that a rat will not appear right where it died but people have to walk a bit to find them.

-Alternate valuable souces of money. this is perhaps the most important thing. Give stronger monsters something worth many trias! The rats problem is caused by their worth in tria terms, so that, even if they are the weakest monster of all, they are the preferred source of money, thus becoming the column of the whole system (xp without money means nothing, as my 150 and more unused progression points state). So, try giving to strong monsters valuable prizes.The tefusang could give 4 or 5 teeth, thus making strong people go hunting for them, leaving the rats to weak chars.  as tefusang are quite lethal when they retaliate and can\'t be attacked by waek ones, they could be brought down by organized groups of chars, improving role palying and making said groups share those teeth found on dead bodies.

-another cool thing could be putting some really strong monster hidden in the hills outside the city, in the ruins near the portal, in the dungeon under  the temple, making experienced fighters leave the sewers hunting for the bastards.

I know perfectly that all these things are already in schedule and that developers have other things to work on, but perhaps they understimated the rat problem and the frustration that it generates.

these are not words of a weak noob who can\'t get sword skill, i\'m quite strong even if i didn\'t play MB and I could get any rat i wanted; i just remember when i was armed with my bare hands and could do nothing hehe

i think that a good way  of handling the porblem could be the creation of police npc..
some strong pack of policemen patrolling cities will make someone think two times before attacking other people, just like in real life. Those policemen would wander patrolling and attaking or taking measures against unauthorized combats. this system will give a great improvement to our fantasy world politics and social relations, as policeman will certanly not be present everywhere and evil chars will gather outside cities in forests or whatever to pick on travellers. Reacting to this, people will travel in packs, hire guards, create guilds of paid protection and whatever..when a route becomes too hard to journey across, city governors could decide to send their men cleaning the area from crime and so on, creating a deep level of complexity and possibilities

i think the problem is with phrases... many single words are more easily written even than 2 fixed words in sequence. i don\'t know if i0m expressing correctly, but for example the IA could consider the word \"quest\" and one taken from the following \"give\" \"have\" \"want\" \"search\".. it will cover by far more possibilities than a system based on \"have quest\" \"give me quest\", if i understood correctly what you said before
