There are indeed some good comments in Controversy\'s post however, it is clear from the way in which he has posted subsequently that he did not write this post by himself.

I do not feel (although I am not offended) that this post belonged in a forum like this, if people are posting incorrectly (is there such a thing, really?)  Then surely the Mods would pick this up and take the appropriate action.  And further, if it were of such an issue that people were actually concerned about it, wouldn\'t one of the mods have started a topic called \'How to post correctly\'?

This forum is what it is, we enjoy the way it works otherwise we wouldn\'t keep coming back here....

The first time I built by first computer, I didn\'t realise that you needed thermal paste.....  Imagine just spending your hard earned cash on the first AMD Athlon 1Ghz, building the thing, rubbing hands together and sitting back beaming with pride.  Switch on the machine, and watch the temp soar...... *pop-fizz*  .......

I think I\'m gonna need a new processor.....  2 hours after buying the first one, oh yeah, and some paste......

Needless to say I\'ve learned my lesson, and my processor now runs at a lovely 24?C ...

Rose, I had such, such, downtimes when I was around your age, but please don\'t think I\'m trying to patronise you when I say that.  Please read this it helped to change my life...  I hope it helps you too:

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep and you weep alone,
For sad old earth must borrow it\'s mirth,
But has trouble enough of it\'s own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, and it\'s lost on the air,
The echoes are bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they will turn and go.
They want full measure of all your pleasure.
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad and you lose them all.
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink lifes gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and you give, and it helps you to live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure for a large and Lordly train,
But one by one, we must all file on,
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

I hope when you read this you realise that you will never be alone...  All you have to do is post...

We have a saying here in England, \'Keep your chin up\'...

How many times do you need people to spell it out to you?  Pot is not addictive in any form of the substance.

Many things can take over someones life without it being detrimental, and from the amount of posts you\'ve put on this forum I can guess what\'s taking over yours!  (Not that this is a bad thing  ;) )

I would chalk it down simply to teenage stupidity too, or we\'d have to assume na?vety on your behalf.  Maybe the only stoners you know are of a certain mindset, or they have decided that that is all they want to do with their life...

It\'s not the pot which is to blame, if it wasn\'t pot maybe it\'d be alcohol, or something worse.

All of the people I have known who have smoked pot are the friendliest, most creative people I have ever met.  This is not to say that they are creative because they smoke pot, it just seems to awaken something in them which helps them comprehend things in ways that people who have never smoked the stuff will never understand.

Yup  agree, slightly off topic maybe....  But the Internet has opened up a can of worms for Society, and in good way!  It means people can access information about anything, anywhere just by using a few keystrokes.  And not having to go to a public library is a bonus for some people, knowledge whilst sat in the comfort of your own surroundings!

It jus pays to know which of the Info you read is good and valid, and which is downright dirt.

Depends on the way you look at the term \'Mythical\'  being a adjective it has more than one meaning..  It could mean \'Occuring in or characteristics of myths or folk tales\', or \'Imaginary and not real\'.

But I\'ve always thought along the lines that a story must have had some origin, and it\'s proving whether or not the origin of that story is based on truth.  And, whether that truth has been continued throughout that particular stories life.

I mean we all know what Chinese Whispers can do!

Conversely the story could have been based on an untruth, and then where would we be?

Jeez, can you imagine if Hasselhoff were in the new film....?

\'Hello Michael, how are you?\'

\'Well KITT, I\'m doing ok.  I\'ve got a few TV shows, I sell aftershaves....  And I sing a bit in Germany....Man those Germans love me!........Say have you seen my leather jacket?\'

I couldn\'t imagine anyone else being in Knightrider, but nor would I want a geriatric Hasselhoff!

\'Say KITT can you slow down....?  I think I\'m getting motion sick\'

Thinking about this, maybe we haven\'t had contact with anything extra-terrestrial for a particular reason.

Maybe Earth has been put on some kind of quarantine list by some kind of Galactic council?

Now I\'m a skeptic by nature, but think about it.  Look at the state our planet is in right now....  Imagine the damage that we\'d cause to other planets!

Imagine for example Dubbya with his 10 Gallon hat....

\'Mmm beautiful discovery NASA thanks.....Lovely planet....Where\'d you say the oil was...?\'

It could well be that \'aliens\' are hiding from us because they\'re damn scared!

So in summation they must be smarter than us, they keep away!

Why?  Because we do give names to things that we think don\'t exist or can\'t explain

It\'s the nature of Human Beings, we need to feel comfortable.  And by naming something it makes us feel as if we know what it is a little more.

We don\'t know God exists yet he has a name, many names in fact....

Can of worms anyone.....?

It\'s like I said earlier, all Nikolia has succeeded in doing is creating a noise.  Which is probably all that he wanted.

He knows as we all do that we need moderators, whether or not we agree with their decisions.

It\'s just a personal beef and as far as I\'m concerned a load of rubbish to boot.

So rather than talk to Moogie about the problems that you are having you decide to to put it to a vote...  Hmm, I may be new but, reading between the lines I\'d say there\'s something else going on here.  Someone trying to make a big noise...

And where\'s Street-Hawk?  Manimal?

It\'s with a tear in my eye that I realise that there will never be TV programming like this again!  Ok, so maybe the actual \'quality\' of these shows was not the greatest but, and here it is...They Entertained me as a kid, and still do on into my adulthood.

Now I feel like I\'m inundated by \'What if.....\' type programming, which although it may be informative makes you wonder whether TV will actually revert back to the purpose it was created for....entertainment.
