im running the mac version and there is no chat window. makes actually doing anything besides running around kinda hard.  anyone know how to fix this?

i cant seem to get the dialogue box to appear at all.  this is making talking to anyone kinda difficult?  anyone having th same problem or know how to fix it?

right now i have two main problems. the first is when i try to use the updater the top bar gets anyware from 87-97 percent full and goes back to zero and the bottom bar does nothing.  
next is after i created my character and started to play i realized i dont have a toolbar or any of the other things that are supposed to be on screen.   can anyone help?
