you should be able to pull the driver version on your computer up from several differnt places. If your driver came with some extra software - my invida card has extra options that allow me to do all kinds of fancy things with my display - somewhere in there it should tell you the driver version.
If you can\'t find that, right click on \"My computer\" and select \"Properties\" Then go into the device manager and look at your video card. A tab at the top will list the driver and will tell you the version.
Then go to the website for your vido card and see if you\'ve got the latest version. If you\'ve had the card for a while and have never updated skip all the looking for the version stuff and just down load the newest one.

Try going under your start menu to the \"Planeshift Set-up\" program. This will let you select screen resolution, sound set up and the like. You might be able to change the res and be able to see stuff.
What OS, processor and Video card are you useing?
On that note, make sure your video driver is up-to-date

I\'m running XP on an AMD CPU and am not having this problem. Make sure your video card diver is up-to-date and make sure you\'re set to run in full screen.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Magic Glyphs

OK, i\'ve searched through the players guide and the forums.
(note to other newbies, there is a search feature on these boards, useing it will keep you in Moogie\'s good graces

I am still confused about the glyphs. Does one glyph = one spell or does one glyph = access to that \"Way\" and therefore several spells?
Several spells, of course, when they are all implimented.
on that note, is there a list anywhere of what has been implimented? I mean is there one spell per way or what have you?
in the spirit encouraged often on these boards I am looking to explore the world, I am just wanting to make an informed purchase when I pay out 2 hours worth of rat killing for a glyph.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Bug: training on 'hello'

I wanted to report a bug. Not sure if this is the place.
I walked up to Jayce (SP?) The Librarian and said \'hello\'. I then recieved a system message that I had gained skill in daggers. I cannot confirm actually gaining skill but it did take some of the money I was saving to buy a shield.
There were no GM\'s online
If this is not the proper place to report a bug I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

If ya\'ll have ever read Terry Pratchett - in his world (Discworld) Trolls are made of rock. They have diamonds for teeth and think Heaven is \'down\'
But anyway, in one book you get a bit better look at their society and they refer to their young as \"pebbles\" and death occurs as they simply get slower until they, umm, rejoin the landscape. I\'m thinking something might be borrowed here.
as for the origional post of depositing \'seeds\' onto rocks, why could this not include 2 Kran? Just because there are no sexes does not mean cloneing is the only means of reporduction and you need some way to produce varity.

In this line of thinking I was wondering that all had been implimented.
Someone just said no armor - what about blunt weapons?
I\'m playing a dwarf and perfer maces for RP reasons.
And has the majic been implimented yet? I saw some... not reagents, whatever they are called here, for sell, but have not seen anybody useing them.
also - the \"shields disguised as swords\" comment - does that mean they are shields but useing sword graphics?
and the city Ojaveda, is that where the road out of town goes?

Wish list / Chat window upgrades

This is more of a \"next update\" wish here.
We need some updates to the control over and through the chat window.
1) filtering - way too much battle spam. We need to be able to lock out the other folks fights so we can see what\'s going on in ours.
2) it\'s anoying haveing to purposly click out of the chat box to be able to move again, need to make it so we hit \'enter\' again to get back into the chat window or something along those lines
3) I would personaly like to see hitting \" / \" send you straight into the chat box instead of having to hit \"enter / command\"
Kudos to whoever put the flashing light behind the channel with an unread message in it, that is real nice over the last MMORPG I played.
