Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Voodoo 5500 crash

I crash at updater screen,have voodoo 55oo vid card.It works for afew mins then it crashes ,blue screen and it says my voodoo card has had a error and windows is shutting down so it won\'t harm my system..any help plz?
