I haven\'t had much experience with alcohol, but...
1 light drink (beer?) has no effect
2 beers causes relaxation (faster healing?)
3 beers causes fatigue (slower movement?)
4 beers causes dizziness (harder to control?)
5 beers causes worse dizziness
6 beers causes sickness
7 beers causes worse sickness
8 beers causes vomiting
9 beers...
10 beers...
death/unconsciousness somewhere?
Stronger drinks could have their effects happen twice as quickly.
1 shot causes relaxation
2 shots causes dizziness
3 shots causes sickness
etc.
The \"relaxation\" part would be the most important, though. Alcohol is filtered out of the body over time. So after a certain amount of time, the effect would wear off. It would be up to the players to figure out how much they want to drink and how often to keep it at the appropriate balance.
2 beers at the start...
wait 3 hours...
drink another...
wait 3 hours...
drink another...
wait 3 hours...
drink another...
etc.
Beers - or whatever light drink - during relaxation would have a basic effect. They would simply make healing go faster or make spells more effective. Stronger drinks would give special effects during relaxation. Whiskey, for example, might give even better spell power to a certain spell. It would be harder to make, though... or at least be slightly more expensive.
A large amount of alcohol could also poison an enemy.
