Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

Edit: recover mode is proceeding slowly, even with the error messages. Possibly will finish with ease. Apologies for taking up space on your lovely forum.

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition
Processer: mobile AMD Athlon XP2400+
Graphics Card: Radeon IGP 320M
System Memory: 448 MB
Visual Memory: 64 MB

Tried to update first with GUI, updater was unable to locate all mirrors. Checked the updateconfig.xml; all mirror addresses were correct. Ran Updater in recover mode. All servers had error: \"Server error 404\" with mirror address. Also, \"Mirror lacks a repository, can\'t use it\".

Checked firewall and added \"laanx.fragnetics.com\" to trusted zone.

Repeat. Mir2, Mir3, Mir4 and mirror backp were either unable to connect, had a 404, and/or \"lack a repository\".

Please Assist.

Looking into things, I have found more problems. Time for a full reinstall. Sorry for taking up bandwith with this topic post.

I was trying to update new files using the 1.0.2.6 updater, and it seems to be working, yet the window is black, with files printing over each other. I was wondering if this was known about yet, and if it will cause problems with the updated files.

Thank you.

Okay, so Im guessing a good thing to do would be not to download updater.zip. ^_^ Thank you.

Note: I installed the tinyxml and added the line to the psupdate.cfg.

In my Windows XP system, when the Updater askes me to wait while the files are updated. When I press okay, the update window closes, and nothing happens, not even an error message.

The Devs are doing a wonderful job on PS, and I have no complaints, only concern.
