As so many, i have read on this forum before i posted this. I also had problems running this alpha client on WinXP.

This was the problem i got:
You startup and it seemingly hangs, after a few sec (=>30sec) you get an application error, and the game crashes to desktop.

This is what i had to do to getin:
I changed the \"psclient.cfg\" as follows,
-=-=-=-=-
; Use full-screen mode if available
Video.FullScreen = no
-=-=-=-=-
Into this
-=-=-=-=-
; Use full-screen mode if available
Video.FullScreen = yes
-=-=-=-=-

After this change the game did not crash when trying to login.
Only drawback is when you quit, the game and music if you have enabled that, see FAQ here in forum, keeps on screen and playing music. You have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and kill the process to get out...

Processor: AMD Duron 700MHz
RAM: 384MB
Video Card: ASUS AGP V7700-Deluxe (Geforce2 GTS)
Video Card Memory: 32MB
PS Client Version: Latest D/L
OpenGL or Safe Mode: OpenGL
Description of the bug:
Client crashes due to screen resolution in windowed mode.

PS: I cant understand why some people have not been banned from this forum or at least their posts deleted, accoarding to the rules when you enter this forum board. But thats my personal opinion. I almost didnt took the effort to read more or even post this when i saw the kind of response some1 gave to a seemingly legitamae noobie question...
