Newbie Help (Start Here) / game won't run, vertex buffers are off

I\'ve played the game before, I update regularly, and vertex buffers are off (it said to try that in troubleshooting). After I choose my character and try to log into the server, it loads 99% and the disappears and takes me right back to desktop. Grrrrrrrrr.........
Help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Location-Murfreesboro, TN
Interest in PS-I\'m not sure I downloaded it last night and when I tried to play it today I can only see characters and the rest is black. I looked in troubleshooting, and vertex buffer IS off.
How Long I\'ve been in PS-Since yesterday
Likes/Dislikes-It would help if I could see!!!
Anything else you want to add-(my character is a female Enkidukai)

When I start Planeshift, it loads fine and everything, but in the game I can only see characters. Everthing else is black. I checked in settings, and vertex buffer is off.
