Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Crashing upon loading world

when im connecting its goes ok,
then it comes to loading world, it hangs for 20 sec then it crashes

Windows XP pro english
Pentium 3 667mhz
390 Mb ram
Geforce 3 Ti200

please help me out
