Yeah it still needs a lot of work. I\'m planning on adding keyboard control. I just finished the movement point system this morning so it may be buggy. I\'m trying to figure out how to add realtime chat. It\'s got a messaging system which isn\'t realtime, but it\'s a way to communicate.

The Hydlaa Plaza / my RPG

I have had an idea for a web based multi player RPG for a while and I have finally begun working on that idea. Graphically it\'s similar to the early final fantasy games on the NES. Actually if you are familiar with those you\'ll notice the characters have tempararily borrowed from those games until I can make my own. The game play will be a combination of the old FF games and a text based MUD. Anyway... I need people to play around with it for 5 or 10 minutes and give me some feedback.

I want to know...
- how fast it loads
- what you think about the layout
- if you would play a game like this

If you think it sucks all around just tell me, and if you think it\'s a great idea I want to know that too. I\'ve already invested a lot of hours in this and I don\'t want to invest anymore if it sucks.

Create a character and play around... when you\'re done be sure and click the close & logout link it won\'t close the window (yet), but it will log you out. Otherwise your character will stay in the game until you log out. It works best in FireFox.

Just click on the link that says Play Game (I haven\'t even started on the webpage) On the login screen click register and after registering just click play game again and login. To move just click a tile above, below or to the left or right of your character. Thanks to those who help.

I was trying to find my way out of the sewers last night and I saw a character ahead of me, before I got to him I had to load another map to continue traveling and when the map loaded the character had no head.

I\'ve heard of Jack but mostly to do with multi-track recording. ALSA is the future.. it\'s in the kernel.

Isn\'t it like an alternative to ALSA or OSS? Just another sound server for Linux?
