5 years away and so much has changed!!! Well just seeing if anyone else is still kicking around the place. Hope we are not all sitting by rat spawns 90% of the time anymore

But I play games to get away from the drudgery of RL 
If I start having to bust my balls in a game to pay bills and pay out huge sums of cash for things it kind of takes the fun element out of it. I?m happy to work a month or two to get something big in a game but any more than that is just annoying. Plus if you try and get the cash together you get accused of ?power levelling? (strange the only people to fling this term about are the ones that have 15000 tria and full skills Hmmmm).
I don?t like power levelling but if I have to pay out then the RP will go to one side until I get up to a level I can be happy with. Not suffering the old guilds lording it over everyone in some supercilious manner
P.s. I can understand not letting every noob make a guild as I saw one called ?The Village People? it made me laugh but not in the sprit of things really but some of us new to PS were making guilds when most of the people on here were just moving on to solid food

Critique, as in the content or writing style?
EDIT: It looks all-in-all like a good opening. Just go through for the typos and try and remove some of the repetition (leaves try foliage, shrubs, greenery). I won?t post any of how I think it should be as I find that the height of rudeness for a writer. Try in the first part to set the mood a bit more, the sense of bewilderment of finding yourself in such a place. Remember in writing you can convey more than just the things you see, like the smell of sodden bark and rotting leaves, sounds of the world around you familiar or unknown. You say ?It was an odd feeling? but you could try and elaborate on that more and the first interaction between you and the people you meet.
Try and give some sort of indication later of how your char reacts I the situations are they frightened, annoyed, frightened but too proud to show it, shy or do they take it all in their stride.
But it looks like a good way to give your character a lost past and an interesting future. Keep working with it and I?m sure the more you believe it and are happy with it the more others will be too.

Les Rivi?res pourpres / The Crimson Rivers was so good but the dubbed one was so different to the subtitled. If anyone is going to see it I would say go for the subtitled one. (or learn French)
