You can try to use the command /unstick (typing it twice in a very short interval might also bring you back to the Death Realm spawn point) or maybe type /die. If everything else fails. you can still ask a GM to move your character to a valid position.

Well, not that bad for a new, young guild.

(Anyways, in the first paragraph of "Background information" someone seemed to have problems with "there" and "their". ;))

One thing that strikes me is your application form: there are no classes in PlaneShift. Another point is: does your guild encourage its members to roleplay? And, same direction as previous question, shouldn't the applicant add a short RP-style introduction of its character?
Last question: does your guild have its own guild site/ forums where prospective members of your guild can get further information or get in contact with other members of your guild?

OK, that's it so far. I hope it helps a bit. :)

Well, I am not a guild master, but I can tell you this:
You should put up a demo somewhere so that those who might be interessted can see what this CMS is capable of and decide whether they want to use it for their guild sites or not. Cause I would not just say "Yes, I want this CMS" without having a closer look at it first. ;)

That is sad news, very sad indeed. :(

Anyways, be sure that many mages (including me) will remember your guild as the mages guild, the best magic guild so far.

For me it's GMT +1 (CET, or Central European Time) here in Germany -or GMT +2 (CEST/ Central European Summer Time), depending on the season.

Yeah, I'm kinda creeped out that Thoronador wants me to be a girl.
:D I just want to see whether the words you said were just an empty phrase or whether you really would do it (I doubt it).

I just expressed my opinion that it's quite unlikely that the Dutch team will win the world cup, not more, not less. I don't see any kind of grudge in that.
You're wrong, you'll see!

On another note, if I were born a girl, I would marry Beckham.

Infact, if Beckham proposed to me today, I would go get a sex change anon!
:o There are strange people around here. Or are you just joking?

*/me still hopes that Beckham would propose to Waylander, just to let him get a sex change.*

Looks like someone has a grudge against Dutch people.
Wrong, I don't have a grudge against Dutch people. I just expressed my opinion that it's quite unlikely that the Dutch team will win the world cup, not more, not less. I don't see any kind of grudge in that.

Maybe we should get some stats for you to better understand. The dutch are ranked 3rd in the Fifa ranking, Argentina 9th and Germany 19th. That's the rankings counted in points won by playing all the matches through the year. At one point Holland was ranked 2nd.
Ah, yes the ranking.... Let me just reply to this with a quote:
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." - Benjamin Disraeli
The FIFA ranking might -to some extent- also count as statistics in the above meaning.
Although this is a bit exaggerated in general, the FIFA ranking in particular has some "issues" which are not so good for a ranking. For example if one team often wins against (very) weak teams, it can get quite a high ranking, though it is not really quite as good as other teams with a similar position on the list. For example, USA is currently on the 5th, but (nothing against USA) is the US team really better than Spain, Portugal, France, Argentina and England (ranked 6th to 10th)? ;)

Another issue is that countries, which host international events (like Germany in this year), don't participate in matches to qualify themselves for these events, because they are set as participant from the very beginning. Thus they don't have so much possibilities to gain points for that ranking, which can lead to a lower rank. ;)

The dutch just came out of a group also known as the poule of death. I can't say much good about the poule germany was in, a broken Poland and some south american country nobody put hope in anyway. The dutch are already through, we survived so that means it can only get easier from now on considering we beaten both a very strong Ivory Coast and strong defending (at least for our match) Serbia & Montenegro. We'll see what happens tommorow in the match against Argentine. If we beat them then i'll keep an eye out on Holland if I were you.
Yes, the "poule of death", what a nice, frightening name... But serious: It's pure exaggeration. Up to now neither Ivory Coast nor Serbia + Montenegro did win at least one match in this group, showing that they aren't really a threat (not even to Holland, I may add;)). The only real opponent in this group is Argentinia, and they won't make it too easy for the Dutch to win. So if you call a group with one strong team (Argentinia) a "poule of death", well...

Quote
We're already though to the next round, Argentina wasn't able to stop us!
The Dutch did not even play against them yet, but you are right: no matter who wins the match today, Argentinia or the Dutch, the Dutch team is in the next round, the round of 16.

Quote
And you know the Dutch just own the entire football world right? The reason we haven't won for a while is because of this conspiracy of all the other football countries against us.
Do you even believe that? I don't, except if you call a normal world cup a "conspiracy of all the other football countries".... :P

Quote
And to add: Germany is going DOWN!
Blasphemer! ;) If you said Netherlands is going down, it would be nearer to the truth.... (in a double sense of meaning;))

You're all wrong! The Dutch will prevail! (I bet on them, so they better do).
And the trainer of the aussies is actually a Dutch spy, moewhahaah! (I'm serious, he's Dutch).
We also have a spy on Korea, another dutchman.
We rule the football world!  ;D
*cough, cough*
The Dutch? Are you serious?
Well, if there's one thing I can tell you for sure, then it is that the Dutch team won't become world champion. By the way: I can't remember the time when there was a Dutch world champion.... oh, wait, of course not, because there never was. ;D
They were quite close, though, in 1974 and 1978, but the Dutch were stopped by Germany (which, by the way, will hopefully win this time) or Argentinia respectively. And to finally shatter you hopes, I'll just mention that both Germany and Argentinia are there this time, too, ready to prevent the Dutch team from becoming world champion.

That's it, so far. Good night, and good luck!

Anyways, in my opinion the "evolution of dance" was the best video in this thread.
What do people see in that video? I've watched it 3 different times from 3 different sites, and it doesn't seem like anything special to me.

Well, two things: first that what zorbels said.
And second: it's the video which seems least insane to me, compared with all the others that have been posted here. ;)

I do not think that we need guns in Planeshift. It would not fit into the setting, thus it should not be introduced.

If there are arrows, (cross-)bows, throwing small darts/ knifes, then this would be enough.
And for those who want more, there still is magic as one kind of long range attack.

Of course, there also could will be larger weapons like e.g. catapults to throw heavy rocks at your enemy's head:

That\'s a good idea.

Many guilds I know have different groups/ divisions/ sects/ branches within their hierarchy, but it\'s impossible to represent all these different divisions and ranks in-game, because there are only nine ranks.

For example, if a guild has two branches, let\'s say one for mages (marked as A) and one for scouts/rangers (marked with B), then the structure could look like this:

Level 9:
-Guildmaster

Level 8:
-Council of Elders

Level 7:
A - High Mage
B - Master Ranger

Level 6:
A - Master Wizard
B - Beast Master

Level 5:
A - Wizard
B - Beast Trainer

Level 4:
A - Spellwright
B - Archer

Level 3:
A - Journeyman
B - Scout

Level 2:
A - Aspirant
B - Herb seeker

Level 1:
-Apprentice

Of course, this is only one example; many guilds have more than just two branches. As another example, a pure mages guild could have six different branches, that is one for every magic way.
There would be a lot more possibilities, if the system of guild ranks in-game would be more flexible.

In my opinion, the \"wormhole thing\" does not really fit into the PlaneShift setting. ;)
However, there should be a kind of teleportation, at least between the bigger towns. It could be somewhat like the teleports in TES III: Morrowind, where you could go to the mage guilds and they teleported you to the mage guild in another town.
I know that there is no need for teleportation at the moment, but as the world of PlaneShift gets bigger, one should think about including a teleporting feature to quickly get from one place to another.
