Mac OSX Specific Issues / Problem!?

I understand that i need to use the updater to get the new version of planeshift. every time I start the updater up it works fine untill I click update. Is their any way to remedy this problem or will i have to wait till it\'s uploaded to this site?

About how much longer will it take to get the new version running for macintosh?
