Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Re: hammer quality
« on: September 19, 2006, 07:12:09 pm »

Thanks.
I wasn't sure if the usefulness of the item deteriated with quality value. So it is dosen't matter if it is at  1 or 50 it works
just as well.

That's good, I can put my chain armour back on.

Where are did those uber go.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / hammer quality
« on: September 19, 2006, 03:28:29 pm »

It may just be me, but whenever I purchase a blacksmith hammer it is quality 1/50.
I say this as I haven't come accross anyone else mentioning this problem.
Is this a bug. I would expect that any purchased item should be at top quality.

The medium armour for your arms is also 1/50 when bought but I did see someone mention this.

No one need be threatened. Just because someone has the name dragon in their title dose not make them one.

Dragons are devilishly sneeky creatures and very magical.

They can take on many forms impervious to detection.

But their telltale behavour exposes their true self.

We will be looking for these dragon behavours and where we find them we will eradicate them.

The Dragon Ratters Guild is a tight unit of dragon hunters.

A new guild dedicated to hunting down dragons and their familiars.

Members are banned from all things dragon. No active association with dragon kind except in the act of killing is allowed.

Dragons are malevolent, untrustworthy, sneaky, egotistical flying rats who kill brave adventuring souls just to feed their insatiable greed.

We bow to no fictitious gods. Believing that all  peoples of Yliakum will build their own glorious future.
We never run from a fight. Peace must conquer all and if not alone then within the gauntlet of battle.
We always uphold the law. To offend another is to offend oneself.

Beware! dragons are very devious. Having been hunted by the Dragon Ratters over the years they take to disguising themselves
with very strong magic. They can appear as any creature they wish, undetectable, hidden. Only the dragon behaviours shows through.
We will hunt any creature showing dragon traits. Protecting the land from their deadly greed.

A website will be coming very soon.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / what level to make stock
« on: September 04, 2006, 08:36:38 pm »
I must be thick as I can't make stock.
I have completed three quests where I;m told  what I need to do to make stock.
I am level 4 metullargy and intelligence 62 and with blacksmith training.
Every time I put 1 or ten molten iron in the stock machine I get the message you are not skilled enough. What level do you need to
be.
The stock making book is in the mind slot. Is there another book or what.

General Discussion / Re: IMPORTANT: How you talk to NPCs has changed!

Are you saying that to talk to a NPC you have to be standing in front of them whithin 2-3 meters. How would that work with harnquist where there is a group of people clambering for his attention. Should they form a queue.
What was wrong with clicking on the NPC, ie to get their attention and then you can talk to them for as long or short a time as you like. No panicing because you have not spoken them for 15 seconds;  screwing your eyes up trying to read the NPC's name or retyping their name because you misspelt it.

As an aside. How many quests are workable. I have only found one that can be completed. And only three NPC's that will reply.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't have the book. I tried the quest 6 times and each time I was not told what to bring harnquist. Just said bring two. No mention of what. So I had another go and this time it seemed to work. I did the quests and got the book and have some moten iron.
Now where did I put that zinc ore.

I can only find two NPC's that will speak.
Is there a list of NPC's i.e. those important to quests which are speaking.
I have a few quests that can't finish and a few that I can't start. Very frustrating.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Can't make molten Iron
« on: August 28, 2006, 12:45:06 am »
I have trained in metallurgy, blacksmithing, sword making, dagger making and a few other skills that I thought might help me turn iron into molten iron using the furnace.
I have all the training but can't put it to use as the iron just turns to dust. When I put the iorn in the furnace a message pops up that says something like - you do not know what is going to happen to the iron.
Am I missing something simple or is the crafting system not working for some. There are lots of people making stuff. Wish I could.
Anyone else having the same promblem
