I get that same problem and I dont think its just lag because A screen pops up that says an error occured.

Ok, I\'ve created a character and uploaded him to a server... but whenever i try to connect to the server  my client CRASHES!! Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I\'m using a:
AMD XP 1800+ (1.5GHZ)
GeForce 4 ti4200 64MB [41.09 Drivers]
256 MB RAM
Windows XP [SP 1]
Direct X 9.0
PS Version 1.004

Btw, It crashes when it says \"Initializing World\"
