If your updater says you don't have anything to download, then you have everything.

If you notice it's different, no worries, what you have is current. Take a look through your menus and try right-clicking items and such to see all the buttons (they won't be what you see on the page, but you'll get a feel for them all).

Planeshift is different than most MMORPG's. Along with improving your character and gaining money (trias), you'll see from how others interact (as LigH stated), this is a "deeper" game. Place yourself in your characters shoes and "live" how your character would.

Use your imagination.

Ah, just a quick addition. If you happen to come by the Stonehead tavern feel free to say hi. I'd be happy to help you out.

Well, I want to thank you for writing these. More so, I want to thank Elady for introducing me to them. I need more. I can already feel the withdrawals... Write... NOW!
Or soon... Whatever is good for you.

Oh yeah! To Svuun, I spend most of my time talking to people, sitting in a tavern. At least Perlam is being constructive. It doesn't matter how time is spent in the game, as long as the person is having fun doing it. Please to criticize the hobbies of others... It's completely necessary..

Your work is awesome Perlam, keep it up. :) Hopefully I'll be able to come across your designs in game in the future. A Yliakum arteest is what you are.

Heh.. I'm curious how you ended up between a ledge and a roof. I don't have many problems like that, I usually stick to the paths, it's a good idea to be careful. With more of a consequence, folks would use a bit more caution. Death should be feared by all, after all.. It's death... :)

A solution that may have been proposed already might be losing progression points, a percentage of what said player has. If that isn't enough, and they continue to abuse it, it might be a good idea to have the progression points removed with increased percentage the more they die, as well as a HUGE amount of those points being removed for suicides, as that shouldn't be taken lightly and the "easy" way out really shouldn't be so easy..

Getting out of the DR is easy, but what if it people who die and come back, don't exactly "come back". Instead of being whole, they become a "spirit" of sorts, requiring them to say, do a quest, to physically return to the realm of the living. This could also give room for hauntings and such in RP, but taking a decent chunk of energy from the "soul" when they talk (seeing as it wouldn't be easy for the dead to communication with the living.) Nor would they be able to attack or interact with objects (If someone isn't actually "there" they shouldn't be able to do anything)

(I enjoyed it :) Nice work on your piece. I do have one thing though.. Would this not fit better in the story writing section of the forum?)

Sarras, if you look at the posts carefully, you'll see the answer already, there's no need to ruin a perfectly good desk...

Right now there's more important things for the dev's to work on, remember, PS isn't even out in it's official release, it's an in progress game right now (and hopefully "technically" will be forever!)

Looky:
so essentially asking to rewrite half of the setting and half of the quest? :)

That's a lot of work to add onto the dev team's plate. Now that doesn't mean, after the official release, something might come up with some sort of event, eventually overthrowing the government and such, but for the time being, as well as the semi-distant FUTURE (:)), there won't be any changes with the government. (Thought I'd specify the future part, as that was your main frame of time, sorta speak, to your question).

There's still plenty of fun to be had though! (If you're that desperate for some kind of "alternate government", start a cult or something. :P)

(Thought I'd also post, though it'd be a huge event, I would expect, with a lot of work put into it, it would be fun to experience some sort of "hostile takeover" :))

The only reason they work in their free time is because no one is around to hold them hostage in their homes... We should really get someone on that.   :D

true, but I asked about a potential change in government, not groundhog day.  ???

It's very very very very (etc..) doubtful.

I doubt anything as tremendous as the overthrow of octarchy will happen too soon. It's possible. Would most likely be easier to conquer gurgontid considering its guards are kran's like Malco Makkar.

No! Everyone is going to be nice there! I just got settled in.. :P

Well, telling of the future is usually proven to be a hoax. Unless someone has a working crystal ball, you may just have to wait and find out. :)

Serras, hidy ho! Moony, yeah, my other comeback wasn't too far back, but I had some... Internet difficulties, heh heh. I'm back for good now! :-) I can't stay away from this place, the community is too addictive!

Ha ha! I'm sorry but my memory just isn't cooperative with me anymore. Glad to see I'm still recognized though! Hehe. Perhaps my memory will serve me better once in game though!
