Mac OSX Specific Issues / PS updater "launch PS" ability

while browsing a console log while graphically updating  i clicked the \"launch PS\" button (knowing it wouldn\'t work .. but sometimes ... who knows..) then jumped on my console:

sh: line 1: ./psclient: No such file or directory

AHAHAH= the little fragger didn\'t knew whe were under OS X ... wanted to launch the generic *nix binary...

i tryed (unsucessfully) do make a shell script called psclient that would launch the correct binary on in psclient.app (in fact it works but only via command line GUI launching , but have something to do with the path the updater.app considers as ./ )

OH dear dfryer , you mighty code slinger could you take care of that ?

Video Card (type, VRAM): Radeon Mob. 9200 32 Mo Vram (+10% overclocked (vram+ cpu) through ATI accelerator II)

Planeshift runs (y/n): Y
Average FPS: (800*600 res)

Sewers : 30-50
Hydlaa plaza : 10-15
ojaroad : 15-20
akkaio : 15-20
arena (inside) : 20-30
trepor fields : 10-15
forest path : 30-50

Platform-specific bugs encountered:  none , even i played a LOT last 2 weeks , some crashes now and then

found a way to make it work:

put :

System.RunWhenNotFocused = true

in psclient.cfg in the line right after

System.ApplicationID = psclient

didn\'t tryed to put it after plugin declaration... and i won\'t...

since i DLded PS , the setup.app refused to work and.. it was pissing me bit  
\'til now i got away with hand editing the setup files but .. it seemed to be quite strange. if the same thing happens to you:

happilly open your terminal,

$cd \"path to PS folder\"/pssetup.app/Contents/MacOS/
$chmod u+x ./pssetup

tadam , dunno if the perms corruption comes from my comp or not , i give the solution here just in case it\'s not :)

IMHO:
zanzi , GK are like any guild , you find there what you bring with you and hey , beein\' abrasive is not THAT frowned upon , depends the way you do it i guess , noone never said me that i\'m too mean for GK and trust me i\'m sometimes really abrasive but...ain\'t the moto : be right , couteous and kind? you just have to put limits to yourself

nah , it was supposed to be the folder\'s icons , maybe the problems come from stuffit unzipping , the zips were tiger \"archive\" function generated

btw , try to see if this (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/liquidobsidian/PSicons.sit) SIT is working :)

any idea about where to get a tut or an explanation about compiling PS in order to make it run on the cocoa interface from the current CVS version ?

i didn\'t tried to grab it yet (the cvs ps version i mean) but is it 3D accelerated if home compiled and ran trought (apple) X11 server ?

i really would like to invole in this but having never been involved in sutch large scale projects it\'s a bit frightening but well , everybod got to start somewhere no?

it maybe should mobius but i don\'t think that a lot\'sa ppl there would be interested in mac os related things, was thinking most mac users hangs here more than in fan arts forum area , maybe some os specific un-tech related sections wouls be cool too :)
