i think thats a pretty good idea but i doubt the posters would work maybe if it was combined with the town cryer idea it might be better and most of the plays would prolly just be standup or something since not much movement can be shown but anyway i like the idea and it will bring even more realism to the game =]

i dont think it should be much of a quest as much as a random thing. something like walking around and you just see 20 rats running out of the sewers followed by a dozen gobbles and 5 or so tefusangs and see how everyone reacts and if anything just jump on a roof and hope they dont find you =]

hahah yes well im not exactly looking for formal writing in forums right now im trying to balance this gf and little brother so im kind of going for speed here but your point is well taken and im sure theres plenty of spelling errors in here too but thats what spellcheck is for =]

being bored and reading threads i thought of an idea and im sorry if this has been discussed before but i would like to see random monster invasions maybe a rat invasion from the sewers or a......rogue raid from the forest something like that to keep the game interesting and not as repetative and if the lower players cant handle it they can run and hide behind bigger ones but ps being set in a dangerous location i dont think its very realistic to have such perfectly safe places especially since some of your life story stuff talks about an invasion

i think stats should be hidden but you should still have some way of telling about how good your sword, axe, pointy stick is. something like descriptions \" you see a sword with a keen edge and a fine hilt but the base of the sword is slowly starting to rust away\" and i tyhink you could make this a randomly generated list so each one doesnt have to be specific like take my sword for example its a 10.8 slash broadsword instead of saying 10.8 you could have it have a base number for all broadswords like a 5 or something then have it say adjectives (kind of like the new random item generation system but not directly in the name but the description) and some adjectives or descriptions would have different modifiers (ex. looks to be of fine craftsmanship=+3 showing a bit of rust -1 very rusted -10) or something like that but keep all the numbers invisible so you dont have a perfect uber weapon but a series of strong weapons that very depending on their age and stuff and if a monster thats in the sewers drops an item it is more likely to be rusted and if its an axe in the forest it might be duller than others or something like that well anyway im a noob so dont listen to me =]

i just read through all of your suggestions and while some of them i can imagine happening now (like strafing and dealing more damage from behind a monster) the others are just too complex for an mmorpg my computer barely runs PS as it is and i dont want to stop playing this game because ppl want it to surpass the greatest technologies of the day

i am thinking about writing some histories for the monsters in the game im not sure if the planeshift advisory ppl will actually put them in or not so yeah itd be nice to kno if theres any of you ppl in here but for the better part of today ive been reading the history and i thought about it so yeah if u have any comments let me know and if u dont tell me you dont have anny comments cuzz that a comment and i just want to prove you wrong =]
