Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Updater effects.
« on: October 06, 2005, 05:00:58 pm »
I load fine now that I got OPENGL compatible drivers, it even boots me into the game But one thing crosses my mind: Is the patcher sposed to update above 1.0.2.6? I can\'t help feeling even though I can launch and everything, I might be missing content as I thumbed through the archives here and reading patcher stuff. Any know-how is fine by me =)

In my experience it\'s because the majority of people saying \"Loading problems\" but it\'s actually they don\'t have updated drivers or OPENGL compatible cards, as I am trying to remedy myself.

My problem is the same thing visc, only it goes past GUI and crashes when my character should be loaded into the game..I\'m thinking it\'s because I do not have an OPENGL compatible card, but I\'m working on getting drivers from nvidia.com. You should look for OPENGL drivers too.

I browsed nvidia and couldn\'t find the open GL links, if anyone can please link me to the nvidia site link for OPENGL drivers, I\'ll be muchly appreciative.

Also, if you can elaborate on the \"Howtos\" of OPENGL And last I checked, I only run Direct3d, with no openGL, so anywhere I can get the base drivers posting a link for it would be phenom. thanks.

Ahh I see, thats the reason. I\'m using for a video card:

Nvidia GeForce3 Ti 200.

No Open GL to my imagination, because no open GL was the cause of me not being able to play Shadowbane, another online game.

Can openGL be had by less then buying a new card? Like a driver that\'ll allow OpenGL to be put on the card, or whatnot?

I have a screenshot of the screen when it reds out, just like I said. It is not impressive, just a red screen. I did it with --console and stuff, and I got to past GUI, and it was putting me into the game, because I heard music, so I know it puts me into the game.

On the otherhand, I haven\'t noticed anything different, and I am guessing OpenGL is required for the game?

I load, it works, all the way up until I hit passed loading GUI and putting me into the game, but when it goes to place me in game, a red screen of death flashes and crashes me to the desktop. After all this time, I won\'t be discouraged! I will get into this game and if anyone knows of what I mean, please reply and help a fellow in need!

What I meant really is how I can run fullscreen? I can\'t click the nice little checkboxxy thing \"Run: Normal, Minimized, Maximized.\"  ..can\'t rightly center the application or anything. I\'m key to play, but it\'s rightly annoying that I can see only 1/2 of the screen, chuckle

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Spacing on screen

I attempted to locate the .exe file or something so I can run fullscreen, atm it only runs windowed, and windowed is even half off of the screen, or I wouldn\'t complain. Now right click move didn\'t do diddley, and you can\'t resize the borders of the windowed mode, so I can only see half of the screen. Please either tell me where to locate said .exe or at least resize
