Hmm well, I haven\'t even played the game yet but I played some other games (Ultima Online i.e.), where the problem was the same. On the Shard I was on in Ultima, they made a libary where the players were able to add their expiriences and everything.
One month after the libary was ingame, there were hundreds of books and papers all over the libary, there was a \'monsters\' section, \'weapons\', \'history\', \'special events\' and everything.
I don\'t know much about PlaneShift yet, but maybe it\'s possible to add something like that ingame - just a thaugt

Got them up to date, I\'m afraid..
But as it seems, it\'s only while creating the charakter.
After creating it, in the \'Choose your charakter\' screen he\'s shown alright.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / 00D9F161

Hi there,
I started the game, created my character and wanted to join, but when loading was nearly completed, I got this error-message:
\"Something unexpected happened in PlaneShift: Crystal Blue
Details: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00D9F161
Would you like to save a diagnostic file?
[Yes] [No]\".
I\'ve used the \'Search\' button, but didn\'t find anything about that 00D9F161.
I\'ve disabled sound (even though it worked during the character-creation) and the two \'load maps\'-options in the settings.
Please help me :/

Here\'s the .dmp file that was created when i pressed the [Yes] button.
Maybe it helps somehow~

I installed a new graphic-card-driver and rebooted, now I get the same error but with \"5F13A2E7\" instead of \"00D9F161\"...

Thanks for the quick answers to my questions,
here comes another one [; :
I now updated and started the game - In the character-creation window, my charakter is shown all dark, i can hardly see some skin and clothes however, all I can do is guess what it may be..
Got my monitor-brightness at maximum and still can\'t see a thing - so this can\'t be the way to fix it :p
help please~

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Hello, world !

Hi there,
I\'m new to this game and asked myself if I\'m right with what I\'m thinking about it right now before playing.
My first thaught when reading the NPC-interacting section was, that this game is quite a bit like Ultima Online - am I right with that? Can you compare those two?
Second thing is: I\'ve searched google.com for an MMORPG and the first one I found seemed nice. So I registered and downloaded it - took like 2 hours, and when I wanted to start the game I found out that the beta phase was over - without reading any hint about that on the page before.
At the second one it was similar, only that the beta phase would last until end of october, so its quite the same.
So what I want to know is: Will I be able to play PlaneShift for like the next 3 Months++ without an ending open beta or payment coming up? I didn\'t find anything about it on the page so I hope you guys can help.
I hope it\'s understandable, I\'m 16 years old and from germany, so I\'m afraid my english is not the best.

At the updater I only download at like 1-2 kbps, so it takes much time to get the updates...
