Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) /
« on: October 17, 2005, 03:39:38 am »
So....if I\'m getting (extremely) choppy graphics (running ubuntu), no matter what the settings....it\'s probably a driver or other software problem, correct?  I installed nvidia\'s v7667 driver, as well as the nforce linux network and audio drivers, and configured them, but have otherwise left the Ubuntu install as default.

I know this is probably an ubuntuforums.org question, but I thought I might as well ask here, as well, just in case I can get a faster answer.

My System:
CPU: AMD Athalon 64 3000+ (i386 Ubuntu)
MoBo: Foxconn nForce4 Ultra
GPU: eVGA e-GeForce 6600GT
RAM: 1024GB Patriot Memory
Dell Trinitron monitor (which...shouldn\'t matter....right?  Except that I can\'t find drivers for it.  But still, that shouldn\'t make rendering go in stop-action mode, right?)

P.S. Just to show how much this DOESN\'T belong on this forum, it does the same sketchiness when loading GNOME, or when fading out after I click on the \"logout\" button in the menu (which happens very little, anymore...I\'m becoming more and more terminal-dependant).
