Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

I have a link. There are instructions for from the command line in the earlier thread that I sent.

Well, the recovery mode update got me through the character generation process, and I pushed upload. I don\'t know if it worked though: a game screen came up, and looked like it was loading, but two things happened. The first, was that my system started running low on memory, which seemed to indicate some sort of memory leak (there wasn\'t much else running). Secondly, I got another memory access violation, and it crashed.

actually, they only started for me, after the update....:0

*edit*

The suggestion was to run the update in recover mode. Don\'t know if it will work, but it makes sense.

I pulled down the update, while it was in process (unknowingly). Since then, the launch feature generates the following errors:

  Something unexpected... EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00E21BB7

(okay I\'m sure the address doesn\'t matter). I saved the dump file.

Then I get the same error message at another address (00E220D9), again saving the dump file.

Please let me know what to do.

Thanks

Oh, I forgot to mention. I\'ve pulled down the completed update since then, which I had hoped would fix the problem...no dice.

Somewhere in the forums, a page was suggested to check if the server was up. It looked like it was - there were statistics, users listed and such. Was there a way to see that it was down? I\'m new, and want to take a look.

The number of download patches is indeed a major problem. I\'m sure it wouldn\'t have been bad, if I didn\'t have a security manager up, but each download was checked individually. If the updates could be packaged togather, it would have been much quicker.
