Uninstall Norton\'s first off. Solves most of your PC\'s problems in one stroke.
Then depending on what router brand you have, you will open a browser and type in 192.168.?.?(shoud be in manual for router). This will open your router control. If it is wireless, you should but don\'t have to do this from computer wired to the router. This is in case you lose connection via wireless signal.
The look through options and you will find a section that allows you to open ports or a DMZ. I use the DMZ so I don\'t have to worry about port openings. Not recommended for those who can\'t fix crap that this can cause. Anyway when yo find the area, whatever it is called, you then put in the proper port as open permanently or for certain hours you will be playing or whatever. That will likely be the TCP/IP port. You then must set the UDP port the same (port 7777; open). SOme routers let you choose \"both\" in the selctor. If so, just do that. Here is a picture of a DLink system so you can see if you are in the place you need to be.

As for the firewall thing, if you insist on keeping whoretons, then you have to open up the firewall in Nortons and look for exceptions. You can then open the port or make an exception for the program so that it can access whatever it needs. Can\'t make screenie of that because if my monitor saw nortons on my PC it would melt and disentegrate. Here is link to instruction:

If you have Service Pack 2 for XP then you have a firewall there also. You must enable port for both TCP/IP and UDP there as well. Here is instructions for that. Google is amazing, try it some time.
