Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / same problem

I seem to be having the exact same problem:

WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.sound.loader.ogg\'

windows brings up the close program error and forces the game to stop all processes.

My PC specs are:
1.6 ghz AMD Athlon XP 1800+
512 DDR RAM
GeForce 2 Mx/Mx 64 MB
Windows XP Home

every time I try to connect to the server, it gets to \"initializing world\" then windows brings up the \"send error report\" message, requiring the program to be closed. Is there any way around this? It\'s not just that the program isn\'t responding it\'s that it crashes entirely, giving that error message.
