thanks to everyone that helped me out, it all turned out to be a virus on my PC thanks for helpin me with the portals tho :-)

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Hum...Im new but I cant get on

okay so I went and did the non-newb thing to do and looked up how to change my portal, so I did I went and changed it to allow exceptions for 7777 and the other portal I cant recall right now..
So excitedly I opened the game, but to my dismay nothing happened, I hate to be a annoying newbie but I really would really enjoy to play the game thanks

ok yea Im sry Im buggin the mess outta yall but I dont even know how to change my port, Im runnin Norton and I have windows XP I just need a step by step guide to play the game anything will help thanks

Hey guys I cant log into the game and there is only one server available I dont know what to do Im very confused can anyone help me?
