Thank you Dave, and I knew that, but I think I changed some settings on my client. And it might be messed up or something. I have a new client now. And please don\'t trouble yourself with this topic anymore.

The starting place for Xachas (Hydlaa) -for me anyway- is muted. I don\'t know why  it is, but it might be normal to have it muted. And my game\'s music is on. I hear it in the login menu and the character picking menu. Starting from the \'loading world\' menu, it all goes off. Also, the menu at the upper left corner disappeared for me, the one with a \'quit\', an \'options\', etc. I was on IRC, I asked Drey what to do, and he guided me on a few \'Planeshift.cfg\' edits. After I did these edits, the names of all NPCs and people disappeared. To help you help me with my situation, here are the edits I made:
Well, I did it a while ago, so I don\'t remember them exactly.... It was something I changed to false...or true or something, followed by 0 and 3 on next 2 lines, which I changed to 0 and 0. I\'ll list the few lines that fit this description....?(
Oh... now I realized, after I resized my \'Control Window\' (so that\'s what it\'s called....) ingame, it changed all the values. So, nothing to show you until further notice.  :baby:

Ann...whatever: Several things: some spammy, some important issues (maybe).... 1. Please, not to dis you, but please get a shorter name. 2. Please use better grammar and conventions and (what\'s it called?). Capitalization, most people don\'t care, but it\'s nice. 3. Why are you leeting so incorrectly? Ok, it might just be typos, but really, if you\'re going to leet, then please do it right. 4. Like 2, no more run-on please. *Edit*, \'run-on\' means \'run-on sentence\' just to clear things up 5. To other posters: this IS a joke. Impossible. No one is that much of a noob at computers. A 3rd grader could do it fine with that many instructions. 6. Sorry if you take this as an offense. It isn\'t. 7. So, now that you know what I want, and I think others do, please restate your problem

Guys, guys...   YES! YES! YES! The solution to the problem is, run the \'pssetup.exe\' file, and instead of just that map, sound, card, etc. nonsense, do this. (   )
Change the skin to \'stone\'. And that\'s it!!! You can also change back to default or elves, and it\'ll still work. I\'m not sure about any other solutions, but this is *The Solution*. How does this n00b know? I\'m one of the few people who had this ridiculous problem.

Thx, guys. And yes, I\'m as English-literate (is \'english\' capitalized?) as anyone.... But even thought it IS my first language... no huge vocabulary PLEASE.
Please don\'t look at me as if i\'m a grammar noob, i\'m not, but i\'m not a technical sentence freak either.

I got the same problem...  ;( and i KNOW my computer is good enough, i\'ve opened the client a few times before.... but now i can\'t. i\'ve tried that map and sound thing, so can you answer THIS?
