well i have to disable sound before i can even play so sound is definatly an issue, but the sound aint everything

I have a nvidia gforce 4 mx 440 but all i had to do was update the driver and it works but i still have no idea why i cant play it with sound:S nif any one can help me with that problem thanks if not at least i can play for now

Sorry to bother you all, i was just wondering if any one could help, i downloaded planeshift installed and updated it but i couldnt load the world when i tried to play it, someone told me to disable the sound in the pssetup which i did then it finally loaded but now i cant see a thing apart from the chat box and all the links for inventory etc everywere else is black :S can someone please help me?

I had the same problem, i ran the updater in recover mode, and that sorted the problem for me.

Ive alread made the characted ive got onto loading the world so ill just try update in recover mode and see if that works then m8

for some reason i cannot alt tab out of my game, i dunno y but something does come up but i cant read it without minimising my game so i dunno wat it says m8, i have updated it but it did say this wen its finished files that have failed libmng-cs.dll and msvcr70.dll i aint sure weather they are the problem but i will also try it without sound etc and post back here if it still doesnt work.

I retried it without sound and turned off the vertex buffer it still didnt work but i got th error messege and it said somehitng unexpected has happened and then closed my game :S i dont know what is rong

Hey guys sorry about bothering you again, i finally got passed character creation, but now when my game loads it can load the worlds and characters but it get stuck on loading gui :S can any one suggest any thin?

The update has now completed but still i try to create a character, and when i click nect nothing happens, it just stays on the charcter creation screen.

I know there is loads of posts about an update but i cudnt find the answer to my problem ne were, wen i first downloaded PS the game wudnt open at all so i click update and when it got to 100% it said checking for updates may take a while but i was waiting for about an hour, so i closed it, but now the game opened but i cannot get past character creation every time i click next nothing happens just stays on the same screen, is it to do with the update or my computer?
