After reading in \"Current 3.012 problems and suggestions\" that cobracon had tried the the regular updater after updater.jar and was able to logon successfully I figured I would give that a try.

It worked!!!  I can now play!!!

THANK YOU. OH GOD. I LOVE YOU. OH, HOW I LOVE YOU.

Firewall is off.
Port 7777 is enabled. (even though firewall is off)
I got healthy activity when I pinged laanx.fragnetics.com in terminal.

And still getting \"server not running or unreachable\".

Ah, omitted that little tidbit of information. Yes I\'ve tried to connect and I\'ve been greeted with \"The server is not running or is not reachable. Please check the website or forums for more info.\"

Scandalous! :-)

Edit: Still stumped.. anybody have anything I could try?

Okie doke..

First off, my stats

iBook G4 running 10.3.6

800mhz, 384 mb ram.

Well I downloaded the client from the 3rd mirror on the site.
Then I got the much dreaded \'Fail100\'. So I read the stickied threads and thought my problem could be version so I used the java updater.
Still \'Fail100\'. And the servers seemed to be fine and running..
I\'ve got a functioning internet connection through a great ISP and my firewall is off.

I\'m stumped! I\'ll keep looking around to try and fix it but I\'m thinking right now it might be a lost cause.
:-) Any help is appreciated!
