Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) /
« on: December 03, 2005, 11:56:05 pm »
Ok I\'m not really on the software side of computers.
But just a question/Idea. Would it be possible to have these stats saved in the files of player\'s computer then loaded up from these files upon the character being logged in, and then saved upon that character logging off?
I don\'t know what side affects this would have on logging off and logging on speeds or if it would even be possible since like I said I\'m not really on the software side of computers. this is just an idea that I had.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

Sorry to say but I have switched sides. I have fixed my problem with the game with the no text problem and can log in now with no problems what so ever.

To possibly help those still having problems here is what I did.

At first I thought that It couldn\'t be anything dealing with the graphics card and or the Drivers for the card. There were two reasons why, first off it was a text problem nothing graphical was going wrong. Second my dad had \"updated\" the drivers for the card through windows XP.
I kinda came across the solution while trying to fix a problem that had arised in another game after this \"update\" (the game was World of Warcraft and the textures had become messed up). One of my friends told me that many of te systems in XP were kinda unreliable and plus XP had the tendency to develop bugs in certain systems (most popular among these is it creating duplicate users on the system). He told me that I Should do a direct update from the company site. I did this and both the problems with CB and WoW dissapeared.

Now incase you don\'t know what company makes your card I got this from someone on the WoW community boards (this is for windows users): go to run. Type in dxdiag. go to the tab labeled Display and there is all the info you need for your graphics card. then its just a matter of going straight to the company website and see if you can Download the latest Driver from them.

If this doesn\'t help, I will still be here to help with the little bit of software knowledge that I have and to rely info from my friends which might be able to help.

Ok I just DLed Crystal Blue today. I once upon a long time ago had installed MB. now when I first installed it I had a similar problem to this (and I\'m getting the same problem as you guys atm right now so I\'m in the same freakin boat as you guys) , now I can load up the old MB and read everything fine, its just...I can\'t remeber what the heck I did to fix the prob.

Oh and just as a side note, I never got around to playing MB either but because of problems with a firewall not alowing it to go through. Now I know the firewall problem, but now I can\'t read a freakin thing in CB.

Ok I did a little digging through the files and what not and I decided to post something from one of the files that displayed font and what not. now I don\'t know if this will prove useful in finding a solution, but at least I\'m trying.... Ok so here it is:
