For all who arel like I who are computer chanllenged.  I was playing around and found out how to connect to the server when previously it kept saying failed 100%.

For plane shift to run properly you need to download the most recent Java program from the Mac OS X download site.  

After that,  Go to home page of this current web site.

Go to Support subdivision

Go to Mac OSX Specific Issues

In blue highlighted area click on  ?Important read before posting a guide to running plane shift on Mac OS X.  Then click on OS 10.4.x: Updater.jar (29 K) and after the download make sure you place it in the folder you created for the plane shift program and then run

I too am a Mac user with a G4 powerbook and Tiger and having problems with connecting to server.  I turned off my firewall and still get the failed message.  Strange thing is I tried update and it too says uable to connect to server.  I checked the server and there are 60 people on it.  I am computer challanged somewhat.  Is this problem a mac wide problem?  I even downloaded the program several times with the same results each time.
