Mac OSX Specific Issues / Game crashes instantly
« on: January 31, 2007, 09:09:35 pm »
The game client told me that I needed to update, so I did, but now the game crashes instantly when I run it.
Ran the updater, nothing to update.
So, I'm out of ideas, anyone know what to do?

P.S. - I'm running Mac OS X (10.4.8), with 1.42 GHz, 1 GB of memory, and 32 MB of VRAM. I used to play this game, with no problems, so I don't know what the problem is.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

First of all, I got the game working, I checked the stickies, and downloaded the java updater, which got the game working. :D :))
Halios, about your problem, did you even download the game? If you did, in the Mac version(I\'m not sure what it\'s like in the Win version), open up the dmg, open planeshift 3d, and then open psclient. Oh, and you should run the updater first, the file is called updater.
I thought it was pretty simple, but, you did download the game... right? ?(

Mac OSX Specific Issues / Freezing
« on: January 05, 2006, 07:34:32 am »
Every now and then, my game will...freeze, I guess is the best word to describe it.
The game keeps running, I can see other ppl moving around in the window, etc. there\'s also still sounds.
It seems to only happen when I am selecting something, ie. merchant, enemy, etc.
When it happens, my mouse cursor dissapears, I can\'t use the cmnd+q to quit, or cmnd+option+esc to force quit. The only way I can do anything, is if I move my mouse(which I can\'t see) to the corner of my screen that starts my Dashboard, then unplugging the power adapter (I have an iBook). That opens Dashboard, but I can\'t interact with anyhting in there either!!
I have an iBook G4, with 1GB of memory, so my computer should be powerful enough.
Is there some update I need or something??

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Connection Issues
« on: January 04, 2006, 04:37:08 am »
Hey all,

I can start the clien fine, but i keep getting an error message saying,\"Server not running or unavailable\". Also, there is a little message beside the Server list that says Fail 100.
Also, the updater will not work, when I click \"Update\" it just closes the window, and I cannot ping the server.
Basically I can\'t talk to the server at all. My anti-virus is set to not block any connections, so that shouldn\'t be getting in the way.
I\'ve run out of ideas. Oh, and I\'m running Mac OS X 10.4.3, if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

Sunlas
