I updated the game I have no idea if I have updated the card drivers any idea how you would go and do that?

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Confused bad

ok I got regestered and everything went fine the upload and everything I got into the game and all i could see was the character...and no place to walk or anything it was black...? Is there a reason for that? I could view my inventory and all of that just no where to walk it was all black...Any idea what went wrong?
