Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / OMG HELP!

i dont know what to do anymore!
i have got a new computer so i could play ps for a while..
but then it said that the server had been crashed or somthing like that.
ok i can understand that.
but now i checked the server stats on laanx.fragnetics...
and the server is online but i cant login because it says that the server is either not running or not reachable.
i really tried to manage this prob on my own so i dont need to spam but i havent got any choise now.

i am confused!
my link on desktop to ps is like this:

i though ps would be totaly free!
why do i have a demo then?

what does tech demo means?
this might be a very noobish question but i\'m still a noob....

i\'ll get a new computer soon (still didnt get my birthday and christmas presents)
if i still have probs with the game on the new computer,
then i\'m a hopeless case.... omg

well:
Operating System: Windows XP
Processor: Intel P3 0,499 Ghz
Graphics Card: dunno.... a bad one..
System Memory: 20 GB
Video Memory: 10 MB
I just downloaded the game, and ran the updater. When I tried to make a char i noticed that only 2 races are available?! why? it says that the others wouldn\'t be finished, although i updated the game. Please help me. Thanks.
