Mac OSX Specific Issues / Re: Problem!?

Oh!  Thank you very much.  I didn't think turning texture compression off would solve the problem, I thought it was just for those who were having those specific problems.  For future reference to anyone reading and having this problem, Cha0s is refering to the Mac OS X guide and the section about turning texture compression off in the information below.  I would suggest this even if you don't have this problem, since it seems to improved my gameplay in other aspects as well.

Computer Type:  MacBook
Mac OS Version:  10.4.9
Processor:  Core Duo 2Ghz
RAM: 1GB
Video Card:  GMA 950 64MB shared memory (Booooo!)

Planeshift runs: yes
Average FPS:  Not sure
Platform specific Bugs:  When I have more than one of a certain item and I can't do anything with it and when ever I click it in the inventory it the game crashes

I expect to get a MacBook Pro around June-August of next year.  (yeah!)  Would I just edit this post or make a new one and delete this one?

I also have the same problem and there still seems to be no fix for it.  Has this problem gone on unfixed for two and a half years?  That doesn't seem right, isn't there any work around?  I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me on this.

Note that I am running it on an Intel Mac, but everything else seems to be working fine for me.

I\'ve been using macs since I was born (\'90) and my family was using macs before that.  We still currently own a performa with system 7 and a Mac Classic II also with system 7.

I\'ve had one problem in 10.3, which I guess you could call a bug, for some odd reason OS9 would start in the background, but I fixed it by turning off a few unused extentions (in OS9).  Other than that 10.3.9 is flawless I never have any problems with it and I\'m running it with a iMac G3 (600mhz).  I don\'t know who you\'re talking to that say that it\'s Panther is still buggy, I got it only a couple months after it came out and the entire time I had no bugs.

You do realize that if you wait till a OS 11 you\'ll be waiting for the next six or seven years at the least?  Your computer will be waaay outdated by then.
