I personally feel that good grammar and an extensive vocabulary is far more impressing than \"elite speak\"..

On the ignorance/lazy argument, being a newb I know that the shear amount of info on the forum is overwhelming. And newbs are typically very eager to jump into the community rather than taking the time (a long time at that) to go over all the information. I believe the newbs should do some reasearch, but sometimes its difficult finding out if someone has posted info about there topic already, especially since many of the posts are titled with names that are irrevelant to the subject. Im not defending the newbs, just providing a counter-argument.

The only advice to newbs I can give is read other newb posts and see the reations they get from people, you\'ll soon discover the type of material you shouldnt post and it doesnt take as long. Also you should read old posts anyway, since they all give some valuable information, and periodically you\'ll find what I deem a \"golden\" post which are posts that are either a infinite well of information or just absolutely hilarious.

I\'d like to see more people being a part of the community, but more so I would like to see intelligent people that know how to manage resources and make valuable arguments.

This peice was actually rather thought provoking. It works very effectively as dark humor and gives a mildly cynical approach to current issues. Excellent job, but I think you should finish it yourself because if anyone else finishes it I dont think it will be as good.

Hi, name\'s Golden Aegis (well already can se that). Im new to the planeshift universe, and hope that I can get along with everyone.

I have some idea\'s, but Im hesitant to post them. I\'ve read through the website, and have gathered as much information as I could, but I was wondering if the community can help out and give me more information (before I post something and make a tool out of myself!)

Oh, and the Golden Aegis is actually a gold goat skin that was owned by Zeus and carried by Athena. It was the divine, and impenatrable, shield. (some side info)

If anyone would be so kind as to point out relevant sites to learn more, or be kind enough to tell me anything that they have first-hand experienced, I would be gracious. Hopefully I wont be a newb for too long  .
